Our group had a fun time watching the horse races and sharing a meal. We sat alongside the track, inside, and had a great view. There were picnic tables and children allowed outside on the main level of the track. We spent $2 each race for fun and there were winnings for a couple of us. You kind of get into watching the horses and cheering them on!! Horse racing is seasonal on thursdays and sundays. The food at Mr Luckys was good, but pricey. I spent $30 for a burger with fries and glass of wine. You order your food at the cash, take a number, and they bring it to you. Staff was good at making sure we had cutlery and condiments at our group's table. A few in the group hit the slots in the casino and had fun. They had a clean team walking around, which is a great idea in these times. People seemed to be having fun at the slots and other automated machines. They had a few dealers at roulette tables and a "high roller"? room off to the side. The casino is too loud for me, but I guess that's part of the appeal for others. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Our dirty plates were not picked up in the hours we were there, so we cleared them ourselves. We enjoyed our 3 hours there... it has entertainment value. Lots of changes are ahead as they are currently constructing according to the marketing info a new hotel, 2200 person entertainment theater, and several additional restaurants to be opened in 2025
2023 June 3 A smaller casino, but also less crowded and ample parking space. While you certainly don't get the vibe from busier casinos, this is good for a quick fix at playing your luck. This casino has everything, gambling wise, that a larger casino has. Slots, live tables, roulette, black jack etc. Even electronic versions. If your looking for a quick stop, no frills, this is it.
Good casino but for sure needs an update. In all fairness I haven't been in a while, bit there was not a lot of table games. I did go for Victoria day fireworks and it was very nice, but they closed food right at the end of the show and security kind of cleared people out after about 15 minutes. There was also a lack of security directing traffic people were driving were ever they wanted to
Last time I came here was on a Saturday night and there was nothing happening here. You could hear the crickets. No dealers for live tables, No poker room. No shows... Saturday night come on. The food at the nicest restaurant was basic and over priced... Going to give them one last chance, going for the horse races on a Sunday. Not too optimistic, stay tuned
Casino located at south Ottawa. Much smaller than the other casinos by the province but it has its small town facade with country style clubbing space on second floor. Gambling space is not large but they do try to offer a bit of everything. They constantly running promotions offering $10 gambling money with purchase of show tickets. However most of their shows I can see them for free in town and ones that are specialized, I find them quite pricy $40 range ticket. Although the clubbing space is spacious and chic upper floor, I need a lot more convincing to come here.
It's very sad to see how down hill this place has gone. We used to win all the time. Now it's been well over a year since anyone I've gone with has won. We bought food here went out for a smoke and came back in and security wouldn't let us in with the food we bought here so ridiculous at the price of the food. Staff is rude and unhelpful. I wouldn't recommend.
First time going to the casino! Lots of fun and so many slots to choose from definitely didn't disappoint!
My experience was amazing. My friends and I ordered drinks from our lovely waitress Mackenzie, she was so kind and efficient. She went above and beyond, gave us great recommendations, and even congratulated us on our winnings. Will be coming back soon!
The casino is OK. Maybe after the full renovations and additions it'll be livelier. I don’t understand why they're not bringing the buffet back? Dumb decision from a bunch of executives sitting in a board room. That buffet brought tons of people in to eat then gamble. Management knows the buffet brought folks in to gamble but they still chose to get rid of it. Dumb.
What a shame. .. because of health issues haven't been since covid, and was I looking forward to this day. My husband at the horse and I went to play the machines. First and foremost the front door of the casino should always look startling clean.....lets not forgot its a tourist attraction....so they say...should have taken a picture to show how gross it looked. Now instead of having 4 security people standing at the counter picking there noses.....in other words DOING nothing, maybe have 3 people standing doing nothing and hire someone to keep the front entrance looking spic and span or have the person that walks around over and over again and not doing much of anything beside making herself look busy pushing chair back in order behind the slot machine. For this next topic which we literally dumped in the garbage it would have to be the food at Constant Grind Bistro TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, we both ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich how can you even serve this food, has anyone in management even bothered, I can bring you a steak sandwich from where I order and show you the difference not in price but in taste for the same price, and after reading reviews on the food I should have known better. Now putting the cherry on the ice cream was how can you run a casino with no elevator nor escalator that function especially on the week-end....SHAME ON YOU. How is a handicap person able to get around in going outside...... I would have needed either or because of my temporary situation of my injury, can you explain. Though we did enjoy our day and we will be back, I hope that my next review will have a different view for what I see to be important factor to look into. Thank you, until we meet again Laval, Quebec
