Waited in theater for 40 minutes after the start time without the film playing and ended up leaving after someone told an employee and it still didn’t come on in a reasonable time. Called to try and get a refund and they told us we had to come in person to get one when we live a half hour away. To add on to this, the employees were combative to another couple after they tried the same thing which is why decided to call in the first place. Overall terrible training of management as they have zero interest in actually helping customers. Will only be attending the bigger theaters farther east on I94 as I’ve had no issues at those locations and the employees seem much happier to help.
I have been a loyal customer of this theater for over two decades, but my recent visit on May 20, 2023 left me deeply disappointed with the service and the condition of the facility. It was a Saturday night, yet the parking lot had fewer than twenty cars, indicating a significant decline in attendance. To add to the disappointment, all of the fountain drinks I tried were completely flat. When myself and a few other customers expressed our concern, the staff disregarded our feedback and even drank from the fountain drink dispenser themselves, claiming that nothing was wrong. This lack of acknowledgement was frustrating and concerning. Furthermore, the state of the bathrooms was appalling. Both the men's and women's restrooms were in complete disarray, with no towels available and at least one stall lacking toilet paper. It was evident that the maintenance of these facilities had been neglected. The staff seemed disinterested in interacting with guests and appeared more engrossed in their own conversations. This lack of attentiveness further dampened the overall experience. As longtime patrons, we had hoped for better from Marcus, but based on the low attendance and poor service, it seems this might be a recurring issue. This isn't the first time we've encountered such problems at this theater. In fact, it's the third time we've had a similar disappointing experience. As much as we enjoy going to the movies, this visit only reinforced the idea that staying home and watching movies is more enjoyable....
Very disappointed tonight, we bought tickets on-line yesterday so it would be a quick in and out. Well the worker couldn't figure out how to use the confirmation number, and said he could not let us in. Drove back home, went on my phone to get a refund, and it said a refund wasn't available. I called the theater, and all she could say was that shouldn't have happened and they were training new staff.
This place is a little older and the theater we are in didn’t have the dream lounger seats…but… it wasn’t crowded, we were able to get tickets last minute for the movie wanted and that is what really counts.
This theatre is desperately in need of a remodel. I don't understand why Marcus seems to be ignoring this location. I usually drive to Waukesha / Brookfield for a better experience at either Marcus Majestic or Silverspot Theatre. Everyone I know in Lake Country tries to avoid this place because it is so dated and run-down.
Ghetto, uncomfortable dirty old seats. Horrible customer service. Teen at the counter was rude. I went to a 845 showing arrive on time went to my chair and came back out to buy popcorn and they said they were closed. But we’re helping people at the counter. So now I get to see a movie with no snacks or drinks… stupid and pointless will never ever return
4/5 because they need new seating, I'm pretty sure their seats are from the 1900 or something.
Use to be a great theater when in the area, now I would probably drive farther drive east to the newer cinema. I showed an employee the 4th of July deal that was emailed, they rang it up wrong which wasnt the issue, but couldnt void it without a higher up swiping a card. Employee got on walkie talkie to get someone to the counter, to which they responded they would be right there was able to hear the reply 10 minutes later we moved to other employee since the start time for the movie already passed thank goodness for 20 min of previews or we missed some of the movie. As I wad paying the other employee for the food/snacks is when management finally showed up and went to the employee I initially was dealing with, stating they didnt hear the page complete bs since I heard the reply.
Good movie. Comfortable seat. Good service at concessions.
Wednesday evening was very quiet, only 8 people in the movies we went to. Quick through the line and getting snacks. Great night out with the family!
