I boarded at Ridgefield for four months. While this place looks elegant and the stalls are kept clean, their only trainer, Annie, is at best lackadaisical,. I had wanted instructions with my new horse, but Annie was more interested in texting during my lessons- I could have been on my back in the arena and she would not have even noticed. I have since moved and been at my new barn for four more months. My experience with the trainers at Kraus is like night and day. I get a personalized lesson and the trainer actually watches me and my horse. Who knew? I might actually be improving
Due to my experience with ridgefield, if you don’t own a horse and want to learn how to ride this isn’t the place. I feel like they were just wanting money. You ride a total of 15 minutes when you are paying $100+ for a hour lesson. They are also NEVER on time due to my experience. The horses are great and very well behaved but you can only go so far with them. As said before, if your looking to learn without owning or leasing this isn’t the place.
This place is amazing I’ve been here for 2 years, I recently began my journey leasing scotch, and I absolutely couldn’t thank annie my trainer and everyone else for the this opportunity, they have always been the very best at welcoming you, and making u feel safe. I love this place!
At Ridgefield lessons start late, trainers no were to see and not a good selection of ponies. If you don’t own one or rent one, you won’t get nothing but a none sense talk group lessons. They don’t advance the students and treat them same. They don’t treat student individually during lessons. When each student shows diferente styles. No techniques how to show them how to improve riding position and no questions ask about what they have learn. Last but not least.. good luck getting on hold of staff.
We visited Ridgefield for a show and I was impressed. They have so many stalls and they are very clean. The people were very nice and helpful and the Arenas were in great shape.
Top notch boarding barn that cares about their boarders, horses and their employees. They do what they can to accommodate individual horses needs. They also have a great lesson program and great lesson ponies.
My daughter loves it here. Trainers are great and we love the owners!
Annie is an amazing instructor and my daughter loves everyone there and the horses take great care of you.
