Founded in 2012, Ridgewood Museum of Contemporary Art is New York's newest art museum. Inspired by the Lower East Side Troll Museum, RMCA (those in the know pronounce it rim-ka) turns personal living space into a showplace for treasured objects. Despite a very limited budget, RMCA (see, you pronounced it that way) displays world class fine art in its also limited space. In doing so, RMCA seeks to negate the demoralizing effects of the shit hand dealt to sub-six figure wage earners by the NYC real estate market.
