We had a great experience. The saleswoman was very pleasant and attentive. It wasn't easy to get the fit right because of serious bunions, but she patiently kept trying until she found the perfect fit.
Was very happy with my purchase. Kathy was very patient and very helpful. Not many places take the time to measure your feet and make sure you get the right shoe.
The sales woman was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back.
I suffer from plantar fascititis severely! I finally mad it to Evansville, and they fixed me up with some insoles! I bought 2 pairs. 2 days later, I took my husband in there and we got him 2 pairs of insoles. We will be return customers!! Very helpful.
We needed new shoes for my elderly husband. We have paid upwards of $300.00 for otherodics and he was still not walking correctly. Riecken's measured his foot, found out his old shoes were 1.5 sizes to large and his shoes offered no support. We got new shoes, and inserts and he is walking better, plus since he shuffles his feet got a sole better suited for him. He is thrilled. I showed the lady my foot. Evidently I have a bunion causing my big toe to lay over the next toe. So I got a sock like thing that protects the bunion and keeps my toes separated. Now I am happy also. The service was excellent. Not all that much more expensive than any good pair of shoes.
I had bought my grandson a pair of New balance sandal shoes he wore them for one month and since they were brand name and from a reputable shoe store I thought they would be a good product. Nevertheless the soles of the shoes came apart. I am not happy with them or the store. Why would I keep my receipt so I called and told them about it and they refused to take the shoes back without a receipt so I will not be purchasing from them.
Only gave 3 stars for the cleanliness of the store. They are not personal to individual needs. They are courteous but unprofessional in attending to the different issues we each may have. For example, I needed arch supports for flat feet and was told that I would no longer need high top shoes due to the arch supports....well I know that's not true because due to arthritis and my weak ankles I need the extra support in spite of the arch supports. I would not recommend this store as what they tell you may not be right for you.
The staff has been very helpful in helping an elderly relative get shoes that fit. I greatly appreciate their wide range of sizes and styles and their willingness to go the extra mile to help me find the right fit. They have always helped me find shoes that provide the arch and leg support that I need. They always have resources to address your shoe requirements and will work to meet those needs.
This store "used" to be one of the best places to get really good service with care and a smile. Well, I don't know what happened, but there is a particular person working there that treated me and a member of my family as if we were white trash. I "had" to choose the shoes which she brought out for me to try. She was rude to my family member and treated me as if I didn't have a choice as to what "I" liked in the selection of shoes I was looking to purchase. I think the owner needs to have a talk with her and let her know how to treat a customer kindly and that it's not her buying the shoes or wearing the shoes, it's the purchaser. I will never go back to that store ever again. Rieken's, you can thank her for losing a customer. Thank her for me for treating a fine customer who went into the store to purchase a pair of shoes and came out with no shoes, but did come out with a feeling of being treated as being stupid and unable to choose shoes that I really would have liked to tried on just to see if they worked for me or not.....If they didn't, then so what? I would try on some more until I found the ones that fit correctly and that I actually liked.
Completely robbed me of $200.00. NEVER go here. I came in looking for a pair of work shoes started ri wear them and noticed I was not only in pain from the shoes but my hips, back, and knees were hurting only when wearing these shoes I bought. I went to return the shoes after only having them a few days and was told I couldn't return them because they had been worn, company policy and it was even stated on the receipt. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY STOLE FROM ME. The guy even had the audacity to try to sell me something else and I said absolutely not.
