Rigby is a small city in and the county seat of Jefferson County, Idaho, United States. The population was 3,945 at the 2010 census, up from 2,998 in 2000.HistoryRigby was founded by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1884 and incorporated in 1903. The community was named after William F. Rigby, a prominent early settler and member of the LDS church.
