Very nice place clean and spacious, food and prices are good but they need to work a little bit to improve the service. It looked like the servers didn't have assigned tables, they were working as a team and at first it looked like a good idea, the problem was that they were helping too many people at the same time that they kept forgetting stuff. In my case I had to ask for my drinks two times with two different people. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm still going back, the atmosphere was great and it looks like they have DJ on Friday night.
I recently dined at Rio Grande Tex Mex and had a bit of a mixed experience. While the food was decent, the service left much to be desired. Unfortunately, it was quite slow, which took away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. I also requested tortillas, but they never arrived, and I had to remind the staff to remove them from the bill. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing. On a positive note, the flavors in the dishes were good, and the ambiance was pleasant. With some improvements in service, this could be a great spot for Tex Mex enthusiasts.
First time eating there for a lunch date with my spouse and we had one of the worst restaurant experiences. It was after the lunch rush and only about 5 tables were occupied. We arrived and waited to be acknowledged so we can be seated, eh, not too bad. Friendly hostess seated us and then it was like we didn’t exist. Waitress got our drink order and hostess brought our chips and salsa which were mediocre at best. We ordered and waited and waited. Finally got our food but the waitress got the order wrong and spouse had to wait. By the time he got his order fixed, his food was cold, we were out of drinks and we never got our salsa or extra napkins. I got the chicken flautas, again, mediocre. We expected a bit more from a restaurant that was highly recommended by neighbors. It was our first and last time there. Unimpressed and disappointed.
We walked in and a group of 3 or 4 servers just looked at us. We just left here, after waiting 10 minutes for a server, never did have one come to our booth. There were only 3 tables of guests that appeared to be finished, so they were not busy at all! It’s a shame because that was our first time there and we were excited to try their food. I have to give the bartender a shout out, she was the only one to acknowledge and seat us, and after about 5 minutes of sitting there with nothing, she brought chips and salsa, great work ethics and customer service…thank you. Extremely poor work ethics on the servers or managers if there were any there.
Have been coming here for a while and was excited about the reopen. The food has been meh the last couple of times. This time though was the worst. Ordered chicken enchaladas with the most bland red sauce I have ever had. Why would you make Mexican food bland? The chicken was boiled and completly flavorless. This tasted like those disgusting school lunches we all would like to forget. I will not be going back left a bad taste in my mouth.
Limited menu but I believe we went during a soft opening. Authentic Mexican rice, salsa was fantastic and the charro beans were off the chain delicious! Best beans we've ever had from a restaurant. Tortillas were not made in house and loses a star. Friendly staff and super fast service. Would definitely eat here again.Food: 4/5
We got take out here on Saturday and I didn't love it. I ordered their chimichanga and it tasted like it was just American cheese and so much chicken that when I bit into it I could hardly chew, it was so much dry chicken in one mouthful. It was not my favorite Tex Mex experience. Update: we went back last night and dined in. We both ordered our own el grande combination dinner. It comes with a beef taco, cheese enchilada, and fajitas with two tortillas. The fajita portion was unique, I’ve never seen that be part of a combination plate. I got grilled chicken and it tasted pretty good. They also give you queso and guacamole. I liked the enchilada as well. The hard-shell taco was soft on the side touching the plate, so I couldn’t pick it up to eat it and it didn’t taste the best. The service wasn’t the best either. We probably won’t be returning.
Parking was overflowed into adjacent field so I expected a wait. Nope, there's lots of room inside. I The hot sauce is a killer but good. Food was excellent and the service was quick. Definitely a place to go if you want Tex-Mex.Food: 5/5
Went for after church lunch. Service and staff was quick and friendly. Chips and salsa were always full. Drinks never got empty. For a table of 8, the food still came out rather quickly and was hot and as ordered. I recommend this place.Food: 5/5
