Great theater located by rio lake. I love that all their auditoriums have premium recliner seats.
We've had consistently good experiences at this AMC location. The upgraded seats and dine-in service make for a great movie-watching experience. The staff are pretty friendly and accommodating. The seats are spacious and clean, and they offer a good variety of dine-in food options appetizers, burgers, chicken fingers, pizza, desserts, plus some plant-based options. You can select when to have your food delivered to your seat from the AMC app but they're not always timely with deliveries. Also, the seat tray for your food is helpful but is a bit small. Other than that, we usually have a great time here!
My husband and I had the worst movie-going experience we've ever had this evening. I rarely leave reviews, but this evening warranted one. After moving to the area recently, we hoped to find a nice movie theater to partake in our favorite date night, dinner, and a movie. We arrive at the theater thirty-five minutes before our showing, planning to get a few things from the concession. We were the tenth person in line, and placing our order took over forty minutes. We missed most of the new trailers because of the horrendous wait. We felt terrible for the forty to fifty people in line behind us, almost all of whom missed some of their showings. The waiting area was also filthy, with candy thrown around and popcorn on the floor. It is unacceptable for a high-end movie theater to have three-quarters of its concession lanes closed on a busy Saturday night. Somehow the experience got worse in the theater area itself. We were pleased with our seats but had an obscenely rude family sit beside us. While the pre-feature presentation trailer said no talking or cell phone use, no staff were there to enforce any of that. The family of one toddler, a teenager, and their mom talked or yelled the entire movie. Neither of the kids was courteous of others, with the toddler crawling on us several times throughout the film. At one point, the teenager threw the toddler to the ground, causing more yelling, because they had sat in their seat. The final cherry on top was at the conclusion of the movie; the family threw their trash and popcorn on the seats and floor and left. While AMC can't control who they allow in a movie, they can certainly have someone enforce their establishment's rules to ensure the rest of the patrons have a decent experience. As we left, we were incredibly frustrated and disappointed. We didn't hear or see most of the film and felt we had just wasted $36.
Been here a few times and always have enjoyed the experience. This time, however, I ordered food and it was missing items - straws, napkins, etc. not a big deal but those things are just common sense.
RATS IN THE THEATER! 7/14/23. I ordered advance tickets to see Mission Impossible at the AMC in the Rio complex. I also ordered popcorn and two diet cokes to be delivered to us at 6:15 $78. Our seats were at the very back of the theater next to a wall seats N4 and N5. The theater was so hot and stuffy as if the AC wasn't on. We went back downstairs to see if we could switch seats to a lower level hoping it would be cooler. Even tho they have a customer service desk, it isn't staffed. 20 minutes later somebody tried to help us but didn't seem to know what she was doing. She kept walking around behind the long counter, but seemed to not remember we were there. We decided to just go back to our seats. The food we ordered didn't arrive, probably because we were at the customer service deck, so my husband went to concessions to pick it up. 20 minutes into the movie I heard a scratching sound on the wall next to me, saw a rat on the wall being chased by another rat - not mice - RATS! I quickly jumped up, tapped my husband and told him we needed to leave. We spent way too much money to begin with, but to have this type of experience was unacceptable. This theater needs to be shut down until they get the rat problem under control. It's unsafe.
The theatre is very clean and organized. The seats are nice and comfy.. the tray in front does not move…nevertheless the seats are close to one another. You must pick your seats prior so don’t think about changing your seat. Nevertheless all seats are good seats.
Number 1... RIO is Gorgeous!! Lots of eats and shops and most importantly, nature. There is a gorgeous Lake in the middle and people are feeding ducks and oh my word huge fish and turtles. One side is kinda busy hustle and bustle and the other side has a " serenity" space this is outside in nature which allows you to focus on right now. Breathe and take some "me" time. The theater was great. A nice bar to order from and food with typical snacks too. I learned in order to get food delivered to you, you must go online and order prior to the movie. ** Personal opinion and not trying to be political at all.... I saw " The sound of Freedom" please spread the word... Trafficking is REAL... Sad enough slavery and kids are actually the ones suffering the most! This new slave trade is in the billions. Slavery of any sort Has to be Stopped!!! Great movie pure Facts!!! Stay Blessed
Pretty good theater, saw a movie in the IMAX theater here. The screen and sound were excellent. However, the seats do not recline and have very little legroom. I've come to expect better seats in most movie theaters these days, so that was disappointing. Popcorn was good. I ordered the food for delivery to my seat, but the delivery was late came after the movie started and so it was a bit distracting.
Had a pretty nice experience at this AMC location. The seats were clean and the food was great. The tray given for your food is very helpful, but doesn't move too much. One issue I had is the space in the aisles for the IMAX part of the theatre. Leg room was very little, especially as you order food to your seat. The crew member had to give all of our food order for 5 people to the first person in front of them and everyone had to pass it down like we were in elementary school. Other than that the experience here was awesome! Edit: I am updating this to a 5 as I experienced Prime at AMC at this location, and it has much more leg room and reclining seats
We have gone here several times now. The experience is great but like most movie theaters, has gotten rather expensive. It was clean, the seats were very comfortable and overall had a good experience as far as the movie was concerned. With the kids in tow it tends to be a pretty expensive outing though.
