Not the place your mama goes to but by far this place has the best wings in the world! We’ve travelled all over the world and we come here whenever we’re stopping through Moab on our way cross country. A bar with the best food in Moab. Don’t come for the atmosphere, come for a good time and great cheap eats! The folks at Club Rio always treat us right.
I wouldn't go back to this place on a bet! The pictures make it look like a pleasant, well lit, good atmosphere place with good food and service. IT IS ANYTHING BUT...!!! I like dive bars but this place gives dumps a bad name. We decided on the appetizer sampler figuring it would give us a good varied taste of the menu. I wouldn't recommend it. It sat in the window for 20 minutes before it was delivered AFTER we asked about it. Then karaoke started, which we like and participate in, but the sound system and DJ were barely adequate to the task. Forget about service as the only place to order a drink was at the understaffed bar. This is basically a local hangout and NOT a place for tourists or outsiders. Pay the price and stay on main street because this place will leave you with lots of regrets and poor memories and a bad taste in your mouth.
Nice clean type of Dive Bar dance floor and band set up. The food is actually excellent I would suggest the pork chops or the hamburger really good food in the bar don't pass it up. Draft beers 3-2 and Utah state law they do have a range of beers at Highpoint level just ask the bartender full bar fully stocked liquor and really great service ask for Pat the man when you go in there and if you have any problems he is the man really good bar manager and Bartender the best.
I stopped in on spring break with friends. We wanted to just have a drink at local bars. We all ordered beer draft and bottles. We ordered fries as well which were extremely tasty. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Overall, a decent experience.
It was okay. Service was okay. Behind the bar was somewhat dirty and the kitchen walls looked somewhat ubattended to indicating a greasy unkempt kitchen but maybe that's their secret for the awesome burger my husband got. The tots tasted good so I'm sure they probably cleaned the grease traps on a regular basis. Their salsa needs a bit more bite as I had the nachos. The bartender told me they were cooked there but no. Store bought.
I despise bars. That said, I was coerced into accompanying a friend to the Rio, for dinner & drinks. I was pretty "Bah Humbug!" about it, since there's lots of places to eat, here in Heaven. After we sat, my whole attitude was adjusted by the little bubbly bartender/cocktail waitress/server/add a couple more title, Angie. I ordered a large variety of wings, and pull pork sandwich with salad. EVERYTHING was massively better than one might expect when ordering "bar food", even the presentation was impressive. It's hard to impress me, especially when food and service is involved. And no, it wasn't just because I got decent food in a bar setting. I got top notch professional service, with extremely delicious, well-portioned entrees, stylishly presented, in a bar setting.
Bartender was nice, but the place was kind of a dive on the inside. Felt really out of place. Dark and felt like it was not the cleanest of places. We had a variety of fried foods. The wings were good, but needed more sauce. Appetizer sampler was ok. Spicy corn nuggets were very spicy, but good. Jalapeno caps were just slices of jalapeno would have been better with some sort of cheese or special dipping sauce. Chicken tenders are all white meat chicken not processed meat which was good. If you want a bar with ok food than this is the place for you.
The Rio is a great place to hang out with friends and meet new people. The food is consistently good. I would suggest the appetizer sampler with a few beers. Service is always good and fast. Live music and karaoke is always a good time.
Skip the fancy places on Main Street and come here for a good meal and cold beers. Looked a little sketchy from the street but turned out to be a great place. Food was awesome, a buddy’s fries were undercooked but mine were great. Perfect spot for dirtbags like us looking for food and beer while avoiding the touristy spots.
Fun little hang out. Good 90s music. Pool tables reasonable prices and occasionally a $2 cover. There are other places to drink in Moab but this one the staff is actually nice and happy to see you.
