Pretty nice aquarium. It was better than I expected. Extensive species of fish and animal life. Parking was easy. It is small, but entertaining. If you have smaller kids, they essentially have a playground in the lower lobby. They had pretty tasty donuts made to order. We didn't try any other food. If you have a larger group, definitely try and get a discount on tickets. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Due to the weather today and already being at Broadway at the Beach, we decided to give the aquarium a try. The price is a bit steep at $39.99 per adult less for children but I also understand the amount of care and feeding that goes into these animals. We really enjoyed our visit here. Our two favorite places were the sharks and jellyfish! Truly amazing experience in both of those exhibits. Certainly not selling anything else short but we really enjoyed those two. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
We visited on a Monday afternoon in October. It was not overly packed. This place is really neat. Very educational, and very immersive experience. Fun for both adults and children alike. Make sure you add on other Ripley attractions, as the combos are a fantastic deal!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$31+
The place was nice. It would be nice to see more types of sea animals like shark types. Overall the staff were friendly, the prices however were extremely high for my taste and could be better, so you don't have to take out a loan just to buy a picture and water. The place was clean. From what i could tell, the animals seemed to be in good spirits also. It's not a place that I would go to daily because of the cost vs. what you get. Honestly, there weren't a lot of animals to view for the door cost. Overall, if you haven't been here, plan your family a day to experience the place for sure and see what you think. I'd plan ahead for food and drinks because buying here is going to cost you more than the tickets if you have a 4+ family.
Me and my wife came here on our honeymoon and came back last week for our 15 year anniversary. New stuff has been added since then and it was an amazing experience again. We sat for about 2 hours just watching the penguins. The fish and other animals are beautiful and so much fun to watch. It’s truly an amazing experience. We really went back to see the sloths too. They were just lounging around in their tree lol. Can’t wait to go back again
I definitely recommend buying tickets online so you don’t have to wait in a long line. Entry was easy. We went during the not so busy season and it was packed! I couldn’t imagine going during the summer when the crowds are in town. All of the sites are really neat, especially the walk through tunnel with the sharks. It was smaller than expected so I don’t think it’s really worth $30 more like $20. The staff was very nice! We accidentally left my toddlers shoes in the play area and they let me enter to get them without hesitation. Bathrooms were also very clean. Plenty of parking. Navigating a stroller or wagon would be very difficult. All in all a nice thing to do on a rainy day or if you’re looking for something for younger children.
We had a great time at Ripley's Aquarium. There is plenty of sea life to see. Not crowded on the day we went, which was great. Prices were reasonable, and you could purchase tickets online or in person. They take your photo upon entering and also have a great souvenir shop. Definitely will be returning if in the area again.
This s a pretty nice aquarium. The wait to get in was not for tickets, they had you corralled into an area to get your picture taken, which we were not interested in. We eventually just jumped the rope and by passed it, that was aggravating and they should have a lane for you to bypass it. The aquarium itself is really nice. They have a wide variety of sea life. The new penguin area is really cool as well as the Sloths . The kids had a great time feeding and touching the sting rays. Definitely a lot of fun. As others have said it is a little pricey and prepare yourself as you enter the gift shop “you have to go through there to exit” everything in there is high. You can get your hand stamped so you can leave and come back the same day. Overall a good experience and I would recommend.
Tried buying tickets for the aquarium +2 special online. And the site kept going down. But they have a self service kiosk near the doors that I was able to purchase them. It was a couple of dollars difference, but not shockingly. The aquarium was nicely kept and the workers weren't all in your way. But there's a down side to that sometimes. We were there when they were about to do the "penguin parade", but I couldn't find a worker to ask them where the parade route was at. They have a sloth exhibit my absolute favorite! And it was amazing to see the 2 sloths lounging doing nothing but blinking I'm jealous. Lol The water tunnel with the sharks, turtles and so forth was decent Georgia's aquarium, I believe, is a tad bit bigger.. but it's still beautiful to walk through. Very self paced atmosphere and pleasant vibes throughout. My adult child, and my 9 year old both loved the time, and came away with great memories!
I expected the aquarium to be a bit bigger but it was nice nonetheless. Our favorite part was the under tunnel where we saw different types of sharks, a turtle and different fishes. I loved seeing the penguins as well and that there was a little crawlspace to get closer to them. As two adults we maybe spent an hour here but if you have kiddos you'll for sure spend some time here. There is a large play area that is interactive which looks cool.
