Signed up my toddler for the Little ninja classes. So far, good. She loves the class and she's eager to learn and go to her class after daycare. The teachers are very cool and attentive to the children.
Really nice friendly atmosphere. The staff is very kind .My child was there for a month for summer we joined .She enjoyed all her sessions and they teach you from basics the importance of how to tackle a bully and to make yourself more confidence about yourself .Its a year round course you can attend as many sessions as you feel like with a monthly plan system they have ..I would recommend this class to those who strive for confidence in there kids .
Most of the reviews for Rise are from parents who have kids in class, so I wanted to give my perspective as an adult taking classes with Rise. I started taking classes last month. I attended the first class for free. Everyone was welcoming, and the class jumped right into the lessons. I have no previous martial arts experience, but the lessons do not require experience. I joined in order to lose weight, to get in shape, and to challenge myself to improve within the bounds of martial arts and outside those bounds as well. Rise has certainly helped with those goals. Each class is a great workout. We focus on specific moves or sets of moves with each class, and I end each class with better form and technique than when I started. The instructors and my classmates are great at giving tips along the way to help me improve. After only a month of classes, it was time for belt testing, and I had learned enough to move up to a higher belt. As long as you are willing to give it your best in each class, you can certainly see improvement. Overall, I would highly recommend Rise for students of any age. It is well worth the time, the effort, and the cost.
I take all 3 of our children here. They always leave smiling. The staff is wonderful in every way. Prices are fantastic and there are no hidden testing fees. My children have grown so much thanks to Rise. I love that they teach concepts such as honesty and confidence. I look forward to seeing what my kids can become with their guidance.
Our first experience with Tiger Rock was for my son's 4th birthday party. It was such a great experience that we decided to enroll our son. My neighbors even enrolled their son after my son's party! The instructors here are great. The Barkley's are very patient with the kids. They teach them lessons that are age appropriate and surely will help them in the classroom as we prepare for kindergarten this year. My son loves it and so do we.
My six year old son started taking classes in October 2014 and so far he loves it. I was a little skeptical at first given the size of the classes but I've been very impressed up to this point. In fact, after only a month and change I've already noticed an improvement in my sons confidence and coordination. All of the instructors seem to be very well trained, they are engaged with the children and everyone works to keep the classes fresh and fun. At Tiger Rock/Rise, it's obvious that the personal success of each child is their top priority. Kudos to the Barkley family for running such a great school. Highly recommended.
Steve, family and all the instructors are amazing! Very friendly family environment, clean waiting area and restrooms! My 4 year old son started a month ago and absolutely loves it! Another benefit is being located behind my work and close to our house. Once my 2 year old daughter is of age she will be here for training as well. Would highly recommend Rise Martial Arts to anyone! Thank you to Steve and instructors for all yall do!
I'm really thankful that we found this martial arts school. My daughter has already shown an increase in her self-esteem since beginning classes, and that was a skill I really felt she needed support with. Her confidence has increased, and this will help open the path to her seeing her own beauty and strength more often. The instructor for her class takes care to support her and her many questions and comments lol.
Our daughter loves coming to Rise. She was timid and really needed a boost of confidence. Within two weeks of starting at Rise, there was a visible difference in her demeanor and self-esteem. As a parent, you can't put a price on that. Also, the classes are run efficiently, the staff to student ratio is always high, there is very little down time, and the instructors seem to really enjoy teaching. Five stars!
