Having lived a holistic lifestyle to stay healthy in mind and body since our teenage years, the seeds were planted and ready to sprout. It was only a thought back then that we could have a health food store in our small town of Plainfield, CT. Suddenly in 1998, the right sequence of events occurred to allow us to open Rising Moon Natural Foods in a rustic bungalow nestled in the heart of town. Fast forward and 16 years later we have evolved into the classic and progressive family business we are today. We are dedicated to serving our community's natural food and supplement needs with our knowledgeable staff. As a community resource for a healthy lifestyle, we carry grass fed beef, local free-range eggs, local honey, organic coffee, and many gluten-free products. You will also find homeopathic remedies, vitamins, supplements, herbal remedies, health and beauty products, weight-loss aids, Bach Flower Essences, and internal cleansing programs. We offer a large selection of bulk products such as dried fruit, raw nuts, seeds, grains, legumes, herbs, spices and teas. Our gluten-free section is always growing with flours, mixes, cookies, crackers, pastas and cereals as well as frozen dinners, breads, and muffins. We have a large selection of specialty items that includes locally made soaps, Sue's Herbal Heaven healing salves and herbal teas, greeting cards, crystal lamps, salt lamps, Doreen Virtue angel cards, mediation CDs, books, incense, smudging products, and lots of love, laughter, and conversation to add to the experience!
