Customer service isn't great- I've been hung up on and, when asking for suggestions to try to resolve an issue, they usually tell me they can't offer any ideas- and I've had them lie to me about running my scrips through insurance my insurance covers the full cost of my scrips, they charged me $30 for a scrip, and when I asked if they'd run it through insurance/if it was covered, they said yes. The pharmacist I've interacted with is wonderful & incredibly helpful, but the person working the phone and register when I've been there has consistently been a struggle to work with.
Rite Aid used to notify people when each medication was ready by the first two letters of that med. Now it says, "your prescription or prescriptions are ready." For a person who takes a few medications, I have shown up and not everything is ready. So frustrating! It's stupid to have to call and wait on hold due to the pharmacy being so busy. This takes up valuable time from the employees! The ladies at the pharmacy are doing the best they can and they are friendly. With reduced hours, it takes longer than it used to to fill prescriptions and that is an issue for my schedule but may be fine for most.
Severely understaffed pharmacy. Constantly getting notices that prescriptions are filled and when I arrive they are not ready. It takes days to get prescriptions. Employees are tired and over worked.
I don't really mind going to this Rite Aid. The store itself was rennovated a while ago and looks good. The temperature is comfortable and the store is always clean. The bathrooms are a bit hidden but they are available. Prices are pretty good, not extremely expensive but not too cheap either. I would say average for an on island location. The pharmacy is usually pretty good. In all honesty, I haven't had much of an issue with it. They are pretty fast and the staff is always friendly. To be fair, I mostly pick up prescriptions here, I don't place them, so I am not sure what that is like. Overall a good Rite Aid.
Today 5/23/2022 was the second day I picked up a family member's prescription from this pharmacy without the pharmacy's staff telling me that they did not have all of the prescriptions needed to fill the order. After dealing with an employee that seemed lost and disinterested, I picked up my asthmatic wife's prescription. I arrived home to be told that this pharmacy did not put medicine needed for my wife's nebulizer breathing machine in the bag they packaged. When she called the pharmacy to explain she was put on hold without notice and had to call back. When she called back she was told that they did not include the medicine because they did not have enough to fill the order probably useful information to have when I was actually at the store. Did I mention that this is medicine for a breathing machine? Then amazingly, the employee asked if she would be willing to take what they had available at the pharmacy. OF COURSE! She's having an asthma attack! I went back to the pharmacy and was again told by an employee that they only had a portion of the prescribed medicine. I asked to speak to a pharmacist. I can't remember her name but she apologized. She then proceeded to tell me that she'd spoken to my wife this pharmacist is the person that put my wife on hold with no notice and that they did not include the initial order because it was at first declined by my insurance. This is after I was told twice that they did not include the order because they didn't have enough! Stick to a story. Lastly she recommended that in the future I should check with the cashier to ensure that I have my entire order. Is this McDonald's? I have to ask YOU if you did your job? What a sh*t show.
The store is consistently understaffed, as it was today. I felt sorry for the cashier, who was doing his best to handle the long queue of customers waiting to check out. No other employees were visible in the store. As a corporation, RiteAid needs to dump its new and improved rewards program. In order to take advantage of it, the customer needs to pull up an app. It's just one more thing that complicates and slows down transactions at the counter. RiteAid's major competitors and other major retailers allow customers to access their rewards when they punch in their phone number at checkout. It's simple and it works. Why does RiteAid need to complicate things?
Great pharmacy, and helpful staff. Always a positive experience.
Amazing experience! Pharmacy staff took time to answer all my questions. They made me feel very comfortable! I am transferring my whole family to this location. Great job!
The staff are sometimes less friendly than the Safeway across the parking lot. Returns are not easy to complete at this store but they will do it for you if you ask enough of the right questions. I recommend keeping the original packing, receipt, plus a driver's license with the driver's license number in order to do a return.
Pharmacy was the worse Experience in Bainbridge Island today, the pharmacist did not wanted to help me with my Doctor order and make me paid my medicine as over the counter, when I came back for my son cream, just hydrocortisone 2% he was lazy to help and then he says it cost $900 and he pretended to find it in the system for $200 dollars. I realized he was just a lazy man who wanted to leave his work early, I don't know his name, but he have a bear and is bold, horrible person, his helper was not a helper either. I hope they both lost their job. Walgreen have better attention! don't go to Rate Aid at Bainbridge, don't go there
