Great little camp ground. Spent 4 days here with my family and will be back next year. Walking around you can see they are making many new improvements. Campground itself was clean and the staff was courteous and very friendly. The only reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because of the bath houses. Nearly every time we went to use them the staff was working had to keep them clean, but only having 4 shower stalls in the “lower” section made it a busy place. It appears they are building a new bath house in the “upper” tent section, but a remodel of lower section would make this campground 5 stars
Location of this campground is not good, even though it has a nice access to the river and canoes, most of the camping spots are along the highway, so you can hear the cars and trucks passing by all day long and most of our group could not sleep due to the highway noise. They do have quiet hours but they don't enforce them, so expect to have people partying and being loud until 4 am. they did pick up garbage from bathrooms but they never really cleaned them. very dirty shower where you can see they have not been cleaned for long time. mound accumulated other walls amd curtains. I do not recommend this campground.
It was an alright campground. For the price it’s not worth it there’s so many other campgrounds that you really feel like your camping. This campground is right next to an acitve freeway so when big trucks down shift you hear that all night. The place can be a little cleaner but I don’t think that’s the campgrounds fault I think it’s the people that come there. I liked the spot I went to but if there were more people I’d leave. They have a lot of tent sites right on top of one another. It’s like they out numbers out and said “hey figure it out.” They need to believe in quality vs quantity. I’d come back for the river view, but hopefully the next time I come back it isn’t so dirty you can’t swim in it. You won’t believe what was in that lake, yuck. I gave it 3 stars because like I said I liked the spot I choose but I had to large early it wasn’t enjoyable.
Great camp site. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this site. Tubing in the river was awesome. My only issues are some campers do not respect quiet time hours and the bathrooms can get messy pretty quickly. There should be another bathroom area on the grounds.
Probably our least favorite campground experience yet. Tent campers setting up at 11pm at night in the RV section of the campground… Trashed facilities, general trash on the ground everywhere… Falsely claiming full hook ups I don’t think you know what that means… no one to monitor or report obnoxious parties are quiet hour to… fan boats at all hours of the day going by… best part was the 100% level parking… so much potential just squandered on a party campground….
It's a campground, not a 5-star hotel. I didn't expect any luxury services or anything out of the ordinary. My kids loved the site and we enjoyed our stay very much. The neighbors were friendly and their dogs were beautiful. My kids made tons of noise and laughed a lot during the day time, of course, no one ever asked them to stop or quiet down. They had a blast riding their Segway and fishing, as well as other games and children's play stuff. Other campers enjoyed their music and had their share of fun. Some noises from other campers after hours but I didn't care as much. Each site had a table, trees, firepit, water, and electrical outlets. It's right by the Delaware River, which adds to the serenity unless you don't care about the river. The sites were a little too pebbly with some parts of the ground being hard to anchor your tents due to unknown and invisible underground obstacles. The bathroom was also no luxury but it didn't stink, had very hot water, and was seen cleaned daily. To me, that's showing effort and good enough. I personally haven't visited the store myself but my wife said she had no complains. The staffs were friendly and accommodating. There are shopping centers, supermarket, and a Walmart nearby. You almost don't need to bother yourself with bulky luggage and other items, as you can literally go shopping here. It was almost weird, as we ended up visiting Walmart several times during our stay. The only 2 reasons why I knocked a star off was because 1. it's located next to a major highway and a smaller state route as many people have mentioned. The traffic wasn't terrible but if you're sensitive to noises while sleeping, you may wanna look elsewhere. 2. It's very small. Again, I wasn't expecting anything luxury but after taking a photo of the map of the site, I was mildly shocked to find out that the seemingly far expecting the site to be huge site was right by the main building. This sorta worked out as we had an easy access to the restrooms. Not a huge deal but just giving an honest opinion with my rating. And yup, that's a blue fire you see on one of my pics. The sell a small packet of chemical you can throw into your campfire that changes the color of the flame for about a half an hour. Pretty cool. I would visit again.
Crowded beyond reason Not enough nature between all the crowd. Filthy bathrooms an SC showers , not able to flush paper at all. On the main road - LITERALLY !! You hear the road all day and night ! More Expansive than ANYWHERE else for nothing Loud at night and we left the following morning cutting our vacation short .they refunded the rest of it at least. But never going back
This campground is right next to a turn on the freeway trucks use their Air breaks constantly. We also visited on Fourth of July weekend. Sites were way over capacity. Bathrooms were closed for renovations and the portable facilities were unsanitary with feces on the seats throughout our two night stay. We had reserved a site prior to arrival but when checking in they said they didn’t know if they had room for us. There was trash piled everywhere at each site. On top of all of that loud music was played until 3 am.
Good for a couple days of camping with great view of Delaware but close to highway so there is a constant ambient traffic noise. That being said it is close to to Milford about 5 minutes lending to a convenient opportunity to visit the restaurants and pubs.
Restrooms are not enough and very dirty. People listen loud music all day and night, nobody cares about their neighbors. And there is 24 hours active Highway next to campground. I was expecting better place for 100$ per night, doesnt worth it. I gave one star because of the river, because kids had to much fun, and a helpful lady at the front desk.
