River City Diner

Tried River City diner as suggested by MARRIOTT EAT AROUND TOWN. The diner had a nice nostalgic look. Everyone was nice when we came in. Our server Annette V. Was extremely nice and on her game. I ordered the Mississippi Catfish dinner surprisingly it was seasoned right. The coleslaw could've been better but I hooked it up. The sweet potato casserole was on point I thought my mama was in the kitchen. My finance got the Philly Cheese he says it was really good except his fries was a little too salty. Regardless, we'll come back for the service and food. Hopefully we'll get Ms. Annette again.

We were a party of three and we ate grits, pancakes, corn beef hash, cheeseburgers and fries, eggs and bacon. The service was quick and the food was hot, tasty and reasonably priced. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and it was not too crowded. Looks like the crowd started about noon. The decor is like the sixties. old cars and juke boxes at the tableAmple parking spaces.

We always enjoy dining here. Meals and service are consistently good and the 50's theme decor is so much fun! Hubby loved his chocolate malt and burger! I had a breakfast meal even though it was dinner time and it was delish! Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly as they have a kids menu with lots of options. The 50's theme Elvis and James Dean statues, actual motorcycles props provide lots of fun photo opp backgrounds for the kids! Well, the adults too, lol.

This was recommended to us by family members and we were thoroughly disappointed. First the good, the atmosphere is great, so many vintage and nostalgic items to look at, it was great. The server was good, fast and friendly. The biscuits we were served were absolutely fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, each plate that had breakfast potatoes also came with potatoes on top that were burned to a crisp, I just don't get it. Tuck it under or how about not serving that at all, why would you put that on a plate? The egg omelets were greasy and browned in tone although I did appreciate the fresh spinach in mine, the pancake was just ok as was the sausage and some sort of pre-cooked bacon product, whats with this over easy egg? Was this made on the moon, hence the craters? Your using too much oil guys, trust me. I know it's just a diner but come on guys, don't serve this....see pictures

Always a dependable choice! Staff are friendly and hardworking. Diverse menu—I try something new each time and haven’t been let down yet. Great fries, too! Be advised, if you come for weekend brunch be prepared to wait. This is a favorite for many locals.Recommended dishesHome Fries

This is our go to breakfast spot! Whenever we have guests visiting, we love taking them here. The breakfast food options are awesome!

I’m addicted to diner food , so a perfect spot for me. Good , fast, hot and tasty food, exceptional service especially if you’re lucky enough to get Annette as your server.

The service was amazing! I left a great comment for the waitress and the cook! They have a great vibe here and the food is great too!

Definitely one of the better diners I have been to in this area. Both times I have been there they have been packed because their food is delicious. They have a bar there if you would like a drink with your food. The service has been great as well!Dine in: Yes

Enjoyed the quick service provided by our server. The menu is pretty good. Lots of choices for sandwiches. Ended up getting a Reuben which was pretty good. It could use a little more sauce on it. The potato salad was excellent. The water seems to have a funny flavor. All in all a pretty good visit. Plenty of screens on the inside. Has the look of an Old Town diner.
