Kalamazoo Thunderbirds held a fun fly at the park RC field. Attendance was over 30 pilots and their guests. Good food was served to all who attended, and everyone enjoyed the sun filled wonderful weather. Great Park, clean and well run.
Lots of room for play even when the parking lot is full. The kids love the splash pad. The playground is great for little ones and big kids. Most of the picinic tables have umbrellas that are in the sunny open area. There are benches around the splash pad and a fence to give parents a chance to catch their little runners. It does cost $5. a day or $25. for a seasonal Kalamazoo County Park pass. Fully functional bathrooms is the icing on top.
Map quest takes you to a business next door, it's also down a long drive so you won't see it. Also note most of the morning busses of daycare? Or preschool kids get dropped off so I'd say the park was over capacity. We went early and on a day that was rainy off n on to avoid people or crowds. Not happening at this park. We stayed about 40 min for this reason and left. We will look for less busy times or a diff place. These were when it first opened.
I can’t really comment on this location as a regular park, but for soccer it was pretty nice. It was easy to find and there appeared to be plenty of parking. The fields did tend to be a bit dry during the afternoon, but overall we enjoyed playing games here. Note that there is a bathroom in the main building between the parking lots.
Great park in the Comstock area. Has several pavilion and picnic areas for any gathering type you would like. We came here for a birthday party and enjoyed it alot. Awesome splash pad for the kids to play in. And plenty of grills if you wanna spend the day with friends and family.
A lot to offer for a very reasonable price. Located in a quite part of the county as well. Really cool playground and splash pad for the kids. Great softball fields too!
Only 4 stars because the slow cleanup late fall of the multiple trees that fell and even wrecked the fence. No cautionary tape or barrels were put up to warn untrained people that the situation could be dangerous. Otherwise it's mowed and 99% of people clean up behind their animals and the last 1% they just didn't see their animal go usuallu. Highly recommend. Restrooms: The only restroom I'm aware of is a Porta john in the parking lot of the dog park. Dog-friendliness: The Dog park is large and fairly well maintained with the exception of late fall when multiple trees fell onto the fences the cleanup and repair was slow. The fence was bent down to the point that dogs could escape. No caution tape or barrels were put up to warn untrained individuals that the situation is dangerous. Myself i don't care personally but I've met alot of Karen's and Ken's in my life that would.
The splash pad is an awesome spot for the kids, and the playground is very large and nice. Good spot for the kids to air dry after splashing around highly recommend for a cheap spot to take the kids to cool off and have fun
This is a wonderful park...great trails a splash pad and everything is well kept up. Bike trails are awesome! Also, there is an RC Airplane Club at the park. Check them out....
I wish they had a review here for just the dog park only, but since don't I want to tell I loved it, my dogs loved it! There were close to 25 dogs and they had tons of room to run and play. My two had so much fun. This was the highlight of the park for me.
