River Ridge is a public middle/high school complex founded in 1991 in New Port Richey, Florida. It was Florida's first joint middle/high school complex and is a part of the Pasco County School System. Both schools have their own classrooms, media center, and administrators. They share the cafeteria, theater, administrative offices, gymnasium, and athletic facilities. The complex is the largest school in Pasco County. The school mascot is the "Royal Knight" and their school colors are purple and silver.Extra-curricular activitiesRiver Ridge has many sports including football, hockey, soccer, basketball, tennis, wrestling, weightlifting, volleyball, cheerleading, swimming, cross country, and track. They also offer marching and concert band, drama, dancing and an AFJROTC unit.Other student organizations include French, German, Spanish, Science, History, Art, and Kitty Hawk Honor Societies, Political Science Club, Interact, SADD, Key Club, Joint Student Teacher Council, Student Council, Chess Club, DCT, Straight Club, SPLASH (Students Protecting Land And Sea Habitats), KORR TV-5 News, Thespians, Running Club, FBLA, Tri-M, the River Ridge Executive Council, an AFJROTC unit, and the Academy of Engineering.River Ridge High School also offers a robotics club as part of its Academy of Engineering. The robotics club, known as Royal Robotics, takes part in the VEX Robotics Competition, FIRST Robotics Competition (team 5842), and ComBots (Combat Robotics). Royal Robotics takes part in community outreach projects aimed to start STEM related activities in local schools, as well as inspiring young children to choose a STEM related career. The club has won many notable awards, such as the Rookie Inspiration Award at the FIRST Robotics South Florida Regional competition and first place at local ComBots competitions. The team has also taken part in notable competitions, including the VEX Robotics Florida State Championship in 2015, and the 2016 FIRST Robotics World Championship.

I've had a rough time here. Ended up switching schools with inaccurate transfer grades from this school. Administration was awful and when a pervious situation occurred at home, nothing happened and it had gotten worse. Teachers put in 0s for the assignments I've turned in. I definitely don't recommend this school to anybody in the near future until they fix their issues.
Worst school ever...what's left to say about a school with a corrupt administration that doesn't care to handle incidents of discrimination and bullying, in addition to ousting some of its best teachers. The only reason I give RRHS a star is because of some of the great teachers that I've had the privilege of being students of. Otherwise, it gets a zero rating in my book.
I love that school but alot of kids and it's a really big school u should let ur kids go there
Horrible school, some of the staff is not fair, probably the worst school in all of Pasco County. In the process of moving right now so I can get my kid out of there asap and give him the opportunity to get a real education at a school that actually cares about their students
the staff is very friendly but the school itself could use a lot of work. the bathrooms need better doors sometimes the doors get stuck so people are stuck in their lol. the kids need better discipline and need to treat others with more respect their is a lot of judgmental people here at RIVER RIDGER I am a student
To all those who read this and are looking for a good school for their child, do NOT send them here. They may be an A school for education but thats it. The staff is horrible. If they do not like you they will not help you. If you are bullied and the staff doesnt like you they /will/ turn a blind eye to it, laugh at you or even join in behind your back. This is both the teachers and admins. An example. One of my math teachers openly admitted in class that she didnt like me and tried to make me apologize to her in front of the class when I had just questioned something she said. When I refused to embarass myself she wrote me up for harassing her and I got ISS for 3 days. Another example. When I went this was almost 10 years ago. I graduated 2009 a group of 10 kids and growing followed me around harassing, bullying and attacking me. Two admins who worked highschool area would egg it on or encourage it then write me up for defending myself. I had to go to years of therapy because of what happened here and even then, I still can't talk to people. I get disability and one of the reasons is because of my lack of social skills because of years of what happened here. Please dont go here. Please dont let your kids go here. If they do, there is a chance they'll wind up like me: unable to work and permanently mentally scarred because of them. I'm literally afraid of people because of them Please save your child this horrible fate.
Loved my old middle school! The teachers are so kind, I'm talking to you , Mr.Walker!!! and they always help you when needed. Yes, there are a few teachers that are not recommend, but most of them are great!!!
I am extremely disappointed in this school. My son took physics this year and they had a teacher for the first 2 weeks but he moved and it now has been 3 weeks with no teacher so the kids have done absolutely nothing and now they have to do it online because they didn’t hire a teacher for physics. This is absolutely rediculous and uncalled for
Great teachers who care about you and your learning BUT ONLY ONE ITEM AT LUNCH 6 GRADE
This school sucks I came her from success to failure don't come here teachers do not give u help I would never recommend this school the only thing this school is good for is for the food which is really good but do not go to this school!!!!!!!!
