I feel like I was lied to right at the jump. I was desperate in need of a Rehab for my adult son. I called River Ridge and they told me they would check to see if he had insurance and if he didn’t it would be $5000. When we arrived they said he did not have insurance so I cleaned out my savings account to pay for it. The following day I was cleaning my son’s house and in the mailbox was his new insurance card and he had coverage beginning two weeks prior to the date. So I called them and they do pay for inpatient care and substance abuse, mental health…everything. And guess what, River Ridge will not refund my money. I would understand if I changed my mind or something that was even my fault. This was either a rehab employee error/mistake or it was blatant dishonesty, I don’t know which. Therefore, I believe I’m owed a refund. So, even a place like this, I learned I cannot trust anyone.
River Ridge was exactly what I needed. Even when I didn't want it. The staff was amazing and caring. Definitely an experience I will always treasure.
