Summer at River Run Camp includes plenty of opportunity for fun, recreation and relaxation in the best spirit of an old time summer camp experience.
Our big barn provides large, open space for creating imaginative art and traditional camp crafts from making furniture to experimenting with stained glass. There is room to choreograph dances, produce talent shows and make music. Campers can “hang-out” in the barn playing foosball or ping-pong, listening to music, playing cards, or curling up on the couch to read.
The playing field offers space for team sports, tetherball, capture the flag, and group challenge games. The six acres surrounding the farm provide opportunities for hikes, cookouts and environmental explorations.
Wide, deep and clean, the St. George River is a wonderful place to swim. Just down the hill from the barn, counselors (Jane is certified in water safety, First Aid and CPR) will supervise the waterfront area. Our quiet, protected cove offers a great place to cast a line, while the slow current makes it an excellent spot to launch a kayak trip or just float down the river in a tube.
We’ll include special outings as well. Trips to beaches and state parks will be part of our schedule. Favorite spots such as Reid State Park and Popham Beach are regular weekly stops.
