Eddie King came to ER on Tuesday for stomach pains and dehydration due to chemo. Today, Friday is his discharge day. We can not express how professional and compassionate the staff were during his stay. From Dr Webb and Nurses Cody, Eric, Tammy to Meagan, this was the best hospital stay. The staff provided whatever he wanted even if they went off the premises to get it. As a 40+ yrs retired Army veteran, I know when teamwork, integrity and core values are in place to make an operation work and Saint Thomas River Park Hospital is truly a key player. We will always use this hospital here in McMinnville Tennessee.
My wife is in rehab center right now and the care is wonderful. She broke her hip and thought she'd never be able to walk right again. She's recovering fast. Thanks, to all the wonderful people. Also, the food here is delicious and the kitchen staff is always asking if you're okay with the menu and if not they'll offer you something else. Love, Love, Love this rehab center
I spent 7 days in the icu for a upper gi bleed. The nurses and surgeon were amazing and very helpful. I had 4 different doctors on my "case" and the last Dr seemed to be more worried with a infection that had been gone addressed my 1st day there, and not trying to find out why my h&h levels blood levels kept riding and dropping.She didn't seem to understand or fully read my file before meeting and talking with me. She tried to send me home until my heart rate spiked while I was just getting out of my bed. Then realized I had alot wrong. She was a good dr don't get me wrong just didn't seem well informed or to be worried with the larger issue at hand. I should have been transfered like day 4. The nurse told me they had no idea what they was dealing with and just kept throwing units of blood at the problem hoping my levels stabilized. Thankfully they did day 6 but I could have had a larger problem and still may. They did their best and I'm very grateful. If at anytime during your stay if you feel things aren't going as you feel they should make it know and be transfered. Again that one dr got under my skin but EVERYONE ELSE was absolutely a blessing while I was there. Except the nurse who reeeeeeeeaaallllyyy wanted to give me a bathe. Was weird lol.
All the doctors, nurses and staff were super, professional and respectful of my care. My only complaint in the many times I have been to your hospital remains the food department and I am not a picky eater. I could elaborate. But medical service is top notch.
The hospital itself has definitely improved over the years. ALOT. However the choice of food options for those who comply to a different diet than SAD standard American diet remain in the dark ages, Salad, vegetable broth, oatmeal, vegetable are not real meal options for those on a strict plant based diet. PLEASE update!
I've already posted this once and it "somehow disappeared" so I'm back and will keep coming back until things change. I went in on Wednesday as a psych eval. Front desk was so nice. Intake was what I was expecting. Security did not do their job I've already called gardaworld to address that. My valuables were not placed in a safe as per their policy and my things were not inventoried upon check in. The doctor that saw me lied in my chart saying i told her "I wanted to end it all" when I never ever said that. We had a discussion about it later and she admitted I never said that but that's how she took what I actually said. I was happy to talk to crisis when they showed up. However, after speaking to my husband when we got home, they twisted what he told them to try to force me to go somewhere else. They're trying to force me out of my current office handling my therapy and medications to go to cheer but also told me it would take weeks or longer to get in instead of me staying where I'm already established and have my schedule planned out for immediate care post hospital. However, the ultrasound tech was nice and gave me a lot of emotional relief and I did have 2 very caring nurses. After being lied to to my face and the lies that are currently written in my chart, I will NEVER be back to killerpark. I will find somewhere else if needed.
So hey… apparently it’s in this hospital’s nature to NOT document all important facts when charting. Examples include: SPEECH CHANGES along with a massive headache. Super nice to find out after having to go to a whole different hospital after this one wrote my symptoms off as “anxiety”. Oh, and apparently I was “better” after being given pain meds and Ativan. No. I was never asked if I felt any better. I was given these medications, a ct and x ray were ran, then I was sent on my way and told to see my doctor in the morning. Y’all are gonna kill people doing things like this.
My nurses were fantastic. I had a smooth delivery. I have an awesome OB as well. We was well taken care while we stayed there.
ER department was extremely proficient in handling our visit. The staff was empathetic, kind, and one could tell they all worked well together. I was given a sense of comfort in painful time.
Wonderful caring staff. Dr was attentive and eady yo talk yo. Nurse Cherie awesome. Excellent care. Even the man who brought food trays wS so friendly. Nurse Casey very nice, too. Thanks
