It may be shocking at first if you come through the trailer park, but once you get into the campground, it’s very nice. The bathrooms are very well kept the grounds are are very well taken care of. Very private campgrounds I would recommend for anybody who is tenting.
No amenities, in town, full hook up campground. Once you pay you are on your own in locating a spot. Excellent river walk runs along the campground. Plenty of picnic spots.
I was there in September it cost $20 at full shower, good tables with covered roof, grass spots to put your tent on
Good for an overnight stay, especially when we found out that the geographic center of the nation is located just a short walk across the river! Well... technically the center of the nation is 20 miles north on dirt roads which we also visited, but the campground is next door to the fancy monument. Full hookups for $30 cash. The manager owner? happened to be driving past as we were arriving. He said we could pick our own spot since they weren't as busy with it being the offseason. We still ended up right next to other rigs but we chose an end site to have a little more space. The campground overall is pretty standard for an older campground. The facilities are run down a bit. The sites are gravel with patches of dead grass. But the important thing is the water, sewer and power worked. We chose 30amp and water was excellent pressure at 70psi. A bit tricky to get to since we followed Google Maps down some side streets through the town. They had a few drainage dips in the road that made us kiss the road with our bumper. Just little taps, but it was better when we left on the main road through town.
Great place, clean quiet, full pull through spots. Shower room and bathroom is clean.
Beautiful campground backed up to park setting and river ... reasonable and definitely the value of the day
A confusing setup makes this campground hard to check into after dark if you've had a long day on the road. Owners were super helpful though. Bathroom/shower facilities need updates. Seems like there's some work on some issues in progress so perhaps you'll find these issues resolved. Beautiful grounds and location though. Great price. Unexpected noise from nearby town streets. If we stay here again, we'll look for a spot "deeper" in the campground.
Hey, I'm not sure how the reviews are so high; Maybe someone can explain... The night I stayed there, I was extremely aware that there is a train yard just a couple blocks behind this place, slamming the cars together 1 by 1 and then the giant deisle engines starting and taking off. Until about 3 in the morning. Because of that alone, it's 1 star for a tent camp - I assume about a three for a camper, with price considered. I am at a state park camp in Iowa with a heated bathroom and hot showers for 12 dollars a night... All the free firewood you can burn.
Wonderful walking/biking trail. Very relaxing...
Nice quiet little campground with full hookups. Had to stop in Belle Fourche due to a wheel bearing going out on the camper. Carls Trailer repair couldn’t get to it until next day so they recommended this campground for the night. Since we couldn’t find a reasonable spot near Mt Rushmore we were just going to continue through SD., but liked this place so ended up staying 5 days and going to Rushmore, Custar State Park and Deadwood before heading on. Nice area, hot showers, nice people and nice community. Will stop again
