This review is long overdue. My apologies for doing it now. I wasn't even aware I could review your station. With the horrendous fire this week in Murietta it reminded me. My daughter and son-in-law live in La Cresta quite a ways up Clinton-Keith and right up Tenaja to Harkey Drive. Three and a half years ago, while my husband Tom and I were headed from L.A. to their home, my husband experienced stroke symptoms. On our way up Clinton-Keith, I drove to your station and alerted you that my husband was in distress. The staff out to the parking lot immediately and begin to provide assistance. Less than 5 minutes later an ambulance transfered him to the Inland Valley Trauma Hospital across the freeway. There he was air-lifted to Scripps Medical Center. All of you saved his life! He is back playing his trumpet and actively participating in veteran Vietnam programs. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You were there when we needed you. Tom has no ill effects from his stroke. Time was of the essence. In combination with your prompt response and that of the two hospitals, we were so blessed that he pulled through. Thank you all so much. This had all occured in early December. We did take some Christmas ham and cookies but it wasn't enough. I am expressing my gratitude again now and will continue to do so every time we pass that Station.
A BIG shout-out for your hard, hard work with the Tenaja Fire in Murrieta recently. My always-present respect for fire fighters just continues to grow as I learn more about the difficulties that come with controlling a large fire. The Santa Rosa Plateau has been a favorite spot of mine for many years...a place in our fast-paced lives for rejuvenation and relaxation in nature. I was able to see it today after the fire and the re-opening of roads, and am extremely grateful to find that, although there are many scorched areas, the Visitors Center is in tact, as well as many large expanses of land in the Plateau. Thank you also for saving the homes which were in danger. Kudos and heart-felt thanks for all you do!
I called the Clinton Keith Road Station, and the phone rang off the hook. There was no answer, and no message. I had a question non-emergentbut one someone at the station might have been able to answer.
