Riverview Campground/Marina

This is the worst campground I have ever dealt with. The manager in the front office told me that my camping receipt that they sent me in March doesn’t matter and that I now have to pay PER PERSON, which is not what my receipt from my March payment implies. She continually yelled at me. She called me a liar and told me I was “sick” because I didn’t know that they specifically cater to “group camping” and that the 2 “full hook up”, $22/night receipt I have actually meant per person. I have been camping for years and have never had a problem like this. I used their website and thought, like usually I paid $22.00/night per site. Which is also what the receipt implies. I had no idea there was a problem. They told me too bad! No refund I should have known better. The biggest concern I have is how I was treated by the office manager. I have never been more astonished at the lack of professionalism and poor decision making by someone called a manager in my life. I am an extremely reasonable person and this misunderstanding could of been handled so differently. It was three weeks before the trip, they could have refunded the $88 back and had a much more satisfied customer and still have 3 weeks to fill the site, which I am sure they could have done. I feel like I just got told to go to H$#&.

My family loves this campground. Fun playground for the kids, super cute general store and love watching all the tubers coming down the river. We will be back!

Love this place and have for years... the staff and people here are awesome and the view is spectacular... very small and intimate... and I’m finally getting to be a happy camper here
