Riverview High is a four-year, (grades 9-12) comprehensive high school located on 51 acres in Sarasota, Florida.
The current school population is 2638 students. There are 133 classroom teachers, 6 school counselors and 6 administrators.
Riverview High School was established in 1958 and was an open campus designed by Paul Rudolph in 1958 (468,000 sq. ft.). The new Riverview High School campus (532,000 sq. ft.) is a more traditional design centered around an expansive interior courtyard, hosting state of the art technology in all 7 Small Learning Community classrooms, 2nd largest auditorium in the city, and all capturing the beauty of the river that brought the school its name.
Riverview High School family strives to live the school’s vision statement which reads: "a school community which works together so that all students will reach their highest potential to become life-long learners and responsbile citizens through quality instruction and a challenging world-class curriuclum at a state –of-the-art facility."
