I'm editing my review. The patient care coordinator took care of my issues and I had the most wonderful day nurse who really cared and took time to help me through the worst of it. My care on nights 2 and 3 were great and my surgery was a success. Worst over night doctor. I was admitted and they refused to manage pain with medicine that didn't have severe side effects. Go somewhere that will treat you with respect and not an inconvenience. They will tell you that you can refuse to be treated, so why the holy hell am I here paying out if pocket?!? Night 2 I was used as a pin cushion as they refused to believe me when I said I needed the best if the best to draw blood. After 6 failed attempts, they finally got an IVU nurse and she got it the first try. Had they not blown 6 other veins, life would have been much better.
If you need to go to a hospital this is the place to go to. I was brought back into the ER right away helped by a very friendly staff and only had to wait about 4 hours to get a room after being admitted. All of the staff were wonderful from housekeeping, dietary, and of course the nurses on 3 South. I am in and out of the hospital quite a bit due to a chronic condition, and this will now be the only hospital I will go to now . I can't stress enough how amazing the staff is there you are treated with such kindness and respect. I can't recommend this hospital enough. I was there for 5 days and as far as hospitals go, it was the best 5 days I've spent in one. Thank you so much.
The Labor and Delivery/Postpartum Care units are incredible. However, I have YET to speak to a competent person in the billing department. Months of hassle, multiple phone calls from myself and my insurance to the department, and still somehow no resolution to a bill I received wrongfully. Apparently no supervisor can ever be reached, and when speaking to 3 different people in the department, I’ve gotten 3 different answers every time - with each customer service agent telling me the prior agent was incorrect! Honestly, for this reason alone - choose any other hospital.
Hands down the best experience I've ever had in any hospital. I have some stomach conditions so needless to say I've been in the hospital quite a few times in my life, but this hospital surpasses any experience I've ever had anywhere else. Kind, friendly staff that make you comfortable, down to the cleanliness !! and the care provided. I was admitted yesterday and was in bad spirits due to the surgery/pain, but everyone was so kind and the experience so relaxing comforting and pleasant that I am all smiles. Thank you to everyone who works here, who's kind to the patients/visitors. Thanks to all the techs evelyn, doctors, nurses, Meghan, belle, Zack cleaning staff, food staff & pharmacist terri. All who were informative with their advice/suggestions - you've made my visit here one of the best and I can't thank you all enough.
Our mother was admitted for a hernia And the staff was awesome the whole Experience was seamless A shout out to Tyler the nurse that took care of my mom. She was outstanding So was the assistants and the Dr who performed the surgery.
I was a patient at Hackensack Meridian Also known as Riverview medical center. When I was in my room, my lunch was delivered. And believe it or not, there was a cockroach on my food tray. Absolutely disgusting I did not want to eat anything from there. Hospital needs to do better
Wonderful Hospital. My wife’s new OBGYN is here, so we found it by luck. I’m happy we did. It’s clean and efficient. All the workers here are very courteous and professional. The Doctors and nurses are excellent. Parking too. That’s a plus. Update 4-23 My wife went into labor and every person that works here is amazing. So friendly and courteous. I was hungry and the Nurse Hillary ordered me something to eat. I thought that was wonderful of her. Our nurse for Delivery was Danene, She was AMAZING. After delivery Karen was our R.N. Also wonderful. The next morning we had Crista and Erin and our tech was Ashleigh. You guessed it. All three were amazing. The only way to describe this hospital and staff is “above and Beyond”
Emergency room yesterday for food stuck in my esophagus. Everyone I met was pleasant and knowledgeable. Was there several hours, but never felt unattended. Required endoscopy and everything went well. I highly recommend the ER at Riverview.

Rebecca, a PCT, and the skilled nurse Christian who placed the IV, Your expertise and gentle touch helped put my mind at ease. The doctor with a stern face, who saw my wound with dismay, Thank you for your swift action, guiding me through that day. On 4 South, where I found solace amidst the unknown, Daniel, JessicaR, Allan, Jesse, Lisa, and Allura, shown. Nestor, Janelle, Mark, Jen, Cassidy and Lori, each playing their part, Your dedication and support touched my grateful heart. To the entire team, united in providing care so profound, I can never thank you enough for the comfort I found. In this challenging time, you embraced me like family, With nurturing love, especially from Nurse Celi. You all have touched my life in ways words cannot express, Your care, your kindness, brought solace and redress. I am forever grateful for your unwavering support, You made me feel valued, not just a patient in report. Thank you, Riverview staff, for being my guiding light, In my journey to healing, you made everything right. With love and appreciation, I hold you dear, You are all cherished, and your impact is clear.
I had to had a procedure done and was very scared, the doctor and nurses were amazing! I had alittle hiccup after the procedure, and once again the staff was amazing and caring, also very patient with me. I want to give a special thanks to Heather, Sandy, Maryellen, Courtney and of course DR. Won.
