Giving a ONE-STAR is generous only because I cannot give zero. This rehab facility appears to have severely neglected my grandfather, leading to multiple health issues that could have been prevented with proper care. The nurse's response to help provide support was unacceptable, indicating a lack of empathy and disregard for the well-being of their patients. It is concerning that the nursing staff does not have a reputation for providing quality care, and it is clear that this facility cannot be trusted to provide adequate rehabilitation services. They failed to meet basic standards of care, which is concerning. Patients and their family members should be able to trust that their loved ones will receive proper medical attention and treatment while in the care of medical professionals. It is suggested to find an alternative option for loved ones in need of rehab services. I am leaving this review because it is important to thoroughly research and investigate any healthcare facility before entrusting the care of a loved one to them.
This place should be shut down!!! They do not care for their patients. My great grandfathers was neglected while staying there. Examples include: not changing him or helping him to the bathroom, which in return left him in soiled undergarments for 20 hrs!!!! As he was calling for help no one came to assist! Medication not given to him… and so much more. This is beyond upsetting and they will not take accountability for what happened during his stay. Do not take your loved one here!
This place used to be great both my mom and step father were here and had no problems. Communications were great. Now my brother is there and there has been no communication because they say he is a "competent 53 yrs old man". Which he has told them to make all arrangements through me because of arrangements and construction that had to be done at the house. We asked for a hospital bed three weeks ago and and they never communicated with us if he qualified or not. The social worker kept saying how he is a competent man but my brother is very depressed and they know he has not been compliant with things. We asked for help and it has been ignored. We even asked about long term placement and that was ignored. Therapy was great it is the social worker that doesn't want to help. We asked for an advocate for him and all these all other questions and the assistant social worker said she would get back and her boss never followed up either. So we are stuck and have no clue what to do.
HORRIBLE! This place deserves 0 stars! If you want your loved one cared for, you’re not going to receive it here. The healthcare team left my family member unattended for many many many hours… even when his light was on and he’s screaming for help for HOURS!!! No one came until we showed up to visit. He is facing many medical problems from being neglected. This place needs to be shut down and the workers need to never be able to work in the medical field again.
BEWARE. Do NOT take your loved ones here. My family member was left in bed without care. This person is fall risk. During the first day, the patient never received his regular medication regimen or pain meds. When I arrived, the patient was standing in their own urine trying to use the restroom because their handheld urinals were full and the nursing staff never checked on them. The floor was never properly cleaned. The second day, the room smelled awful. The patient was laying in a spoiled diaper for hours. Again, the handheld urinals were full. Again, the nursing staff never checked or provided care. The only time the care team engaged with the patient was upon my arrival to check on him and by compliant each day. The patient received medications upon asking for them. The nurse did not know which medications were being provided. Majority of staff are temp/ agency workers. The care team members do not even know the names of the other team members. They couldn't tell me who was caring for my family member either. There is significant conflict and lack of communication between the nursing and therapy teams. If you're expecting even bare minimum care for your loved one, this place cannot do it. Check the regulator surveys which shows neglect and abuse findings in 2021. Waiting for management to provide me with their most recent survey findings.
The facility is very clean. It also feels homey not like a hospital care facility. Autumn Lake has a warm inviting feeling. The entire staff nursing, theraphy,technicians, everyone were on the ball and so kind. My sister needs alot of attention and they make sure she gets it. I'm very pleased with Autumn Lake at Riverview.
It has been a good experience so far. My wife is probably not as old as most of your residents. She didn’t want to go anywhere but home. Everything has gone good. Your employees are very nice and the food is pretty good. Much better than hospital food. Thank you.
I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and management. My mother stayed here while recovering from a surgery. The staff and management treated her with respect and took great care of her and her needs while in there care. When our family came to visit they greeted us with smiles and made us feel very welcomed. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Do not take your loved ones here. My pop is now on hospice care. He left this facility with a UTI, severely dehydrated, malnourished, had medicine mismanaged, and a bed sore. Nurses are supposed to come in every 2 hours. We were there to see no one came in. We had to call for medication multiple times before the nurses came in. My pop sat in his soiled diaper for 20+ hours. And I am sure the owner will come on here staying just like she did my sisters review: “ We were so saddened to see that you felt you had a negative experience at our facility.” WE KNOW BECAUSE WE EXPERIENCED AND SAW IT FIRSTHAND.
The staff is rude and uncaring. They ignore patients and call lights. Nurses are more worried about shaking their behinds down the hall, than actually working. Human resources is a joke, you can't even file a proper complaint for your family member. The RN's are atrocious when it comes to medication management. I'm very disappointed. Autumn lake can buy out stadiums but can't buy linen for their residents? I was told by a staff member this place doesn't even drug test and uses 50% agency. Absolutely terrifying what could happen to my family here.
