We stayed here for a week in August 2023. This is a good park, with some room for improvement. The utilities are old, but functional, though our water spigot couldn't be turned to 100% without leaking. The laundry facilities are nice, but very expensive at $4.25 to wash and 25 cents per 6 minutes to dry. There is a nice pool and playground, though the pool wasn't heated or if it was, it wasn't heated enough. There wasn't an enclosed dog park, but there is room for them to add one. Trees were definitely in need of trimming as they were touching our rig in several areas and the turns were very tight, but we eventually made it into our spot. Our 48' fifth wheel plus deck took up the entire space, but they did have separate nearby parking for our truck, which was helpful. There were several full-time residents in the park, and there was a time when the police were roaming around the campground and walking through our site, so not sure what that was about. Fortuna is a great base camp location to drive to explore the nearby redwoods and Avenue of the Giants.
We had a great time at the Riverwalk RV resort. The bathrooms are clean, the staff is very friendly, and everything is extremely affordable. The park is close to everything including restaurants, gas, a trail along the river, everything else. We rented a cabin here and stayed for four nights, we loved everything about it. We will definitely be returning.
From the very start of our search for an RV park that could accommodate our large work crew and our need for long-term parking, we faced disappointment after disappointment. That's until we stumbled upon Riverwalk RV Park, where our concerns were met with a resounding "Yes!" Unlike other parks, they embraced our crew's size and long-term stay requirement without hesitation. Over the course of the year, the Riverwalk RV Park staff has consistently proven to be the heart of this wonderful community. Their friendliness and dedication to ensuring a smooth stay has made all the difference. We can proudly say that we have encountered zero problems during our entire stay. Our year-long stay has only reinforced our belief that Riverwalk RV Park is the top choice in Fortuna. Whether you're traveling solo, with family, or, like us, as a work crew, Riverwalk RV Park is the perfect home away from home.
Very friendly staff. Clean Bathrooms, showers, and grounds. Such a Paradise. No other place in Humboldt like Riverwalk RV Park. It's a whole new world, it's almost like a vacation, you don't feel like you're in fortuna anymore lol. This place deserves my business, money and satisfaction to say you guys do a exemplary service. Thank you Riverwalk RV And special thanks to the owner.
We've stayed here twice now, once in a cabin and once in our trailer. Both times the campground, bathrooms, etc. were incredibly clean. There is some road noise, but overall, it's pretty quiet. It's really close to restaurants and shopping and all Fortuna has to offer. The woman at the front desk makes the whole experience even better with her warm and friendly personality. We will definitely stay here again!
Park is between a highway and a street, so there is a little road noise. The spaces are paved and drive through, I had to put a 2x10 under one side to level side to side . Bathrooms were clean, the showers were clean and descent water pressure, could have used some heat in them, but they were ok. Most of the outside spots back in were long term trailers, that didn't look too good, but didn't cause any problems. The staff was friendly and helpful. The site is a good location for highway on/off and to Fortuna downtown. Also, not too far from Ferndale 10 minutes or so. Careful leaving the park, as it is hard to see oncoming traffic. We never saw the sun while we were there for 3 days end of June, so bring warm clothes.
Best RV park I've been in for quite some time. Amazing staff and very attentive to any needs or questions. I recommend the beautiful place for anyone who would love a clean and safe of homeless people running around, I've not seen one in my entire extended stay. 3 months.Service: 5/5
Excellent place to.stay. Everyone is helpful. The grounds are cared for and the area is in exceptional condition. Neighbors are nice. I've been here since May and its been great. Safety: I feel very safe here.
This is a great RV Park. Good location and friendly service. Good for groups. They have a clubhouse with a kitchen. Our group had a great time.Service: 4/5
Coolest little gem of a RV park, cabins, tent camping available. Beautiful location, close to grocery stores, great restaurants, small boutiques. The grounds are lovely and right across from the pristine Riverwalk trails. DOG and CAT FRIENDLY. Staff is professional, well trained and accommodating. Children's playground and outdoor camp kitchen. WI-FI a bonus. Propane on site for all your needs. The Bear River casino is down the road for some local excitement and best gas prices around town. Don't miss a chance to cool your heels or heat up your sore muscles in their heated spa. Safe with a sense of community. My first choice in the Northern California coastal area. Giant Redwoods are very close where you can lose yourself in thousand year old trees. Thank you Riverwalk RV and Cabins you're the best.
