I've been to many restaurants specializing in Italian food and now I have a wonderful favorite. Two of us had dinner here and both left smiling and stuffed to the gills as the portions are very generous. We started off splitting the Calamari appetizer which was superb, then the two of us went for the Veal and the Salmon Dinners. Both as we ate out of each others plate were delicious. The Salmon was amazing and the Veal was the best I've ever had. I should also mention the service was great and the breads with the dipping sauce served before our appetizer were awesome too. Yes I'll certainly be back and I do appreciate when a restaurant goes the distance to make the diner realize the difference between good food and 'great cuisine worth going out for', as found here at The Riviera. As in Arnold's T2, "I'll be back".
I have been here a few times on Thursday night when there is the soul and R&B music. I like what I hear here. It is a nice crowd, the Thursday night music is good and relaxing. I also like the crusty calamari even though I should not be eating fried food calories!. I look forward to coming here with my fiance to hear the other music they offer on other nights.
Saturday night does not seem like the night to train new employees. We had to ask twice for menus, the bus boys never knew what table was getting what. And to top off everything the food was not very good. Definitely not worth the price. I would never go back again. When dinner costs me ninety dollars a person, I expect to get something special.
When you walk in, all you see is drunk 20 Year olds and the management team are rude and don't have a filter. They love to argue with you and even cuss you out. The bartender is okay but ignores you if your not a woman. As for the so called fine dining, I rather go somewhere else for the prices they charge for a steak. Also the fat buss boy!! Get rid of him!! What is this the bouncer at the door. Get a grip guys. Grow up.
Like this place - could be friendlier but it's Calabasas. Would give five stars but glass dropped by wait staff / shattered everywhere water, wine and my clothes; took 20 minutes to try and wash out mussel red sauce. They replaced mussels but not rest of setting. Hey, accidents happen but gotta take care of customer.
very good, creative dishes. my wife had the sea bass which she declared superb. i had their heirloom tomato/arugula salad and lobster ravioli. both were excellent. we will go back!
We had to wait for 20 min to get a menu After 45 min we wanted to order our food and some red wine The waitress was in a hurry and didnt take the time to help us Waitress put bottle of red wine down on the table and didnt open it At that point we asked for the manager who came and gave us a different waitress. The antipasta plate was terrible no taste and the plate was looking bad The main, roasted duck big chunk off broccoli and big pile mashed potato bad presentation and taste, didnt eat it my husband had lobster ravioli and also that was bad taste and dry and also he did not eat it, we told the waitress to take away our plates/food and asked for the check, The check came and the two main dishes were charged!! Manager didnt do anything
Food amazing! Staff great! Every time I come here either for business or bring family and friends I always get amazing service! People are very nice and professional and let me tell you MAN IS THE FOOD YUMMMIII! highly recommend them for any types of groups.
Love this restaurant everything I've eaten here has been top notch. The staff is warm and makes you feel like you're part of the family. A must try!
the riviera is just a great high class restaurant, I was here on my moms birthday and it was delicious.
