Roadrunner Archery Club

Roadrunner archery club is a great place to learn archery and get some quality training in. They offer Groupon classes which are perfect for introducing you to the sport. If you have experience in the sport the club is definitely the way to go. The head coach and manager, Ed, is very approachable and knowledgeable. You can tell he cares about the club a lot. Some of the other coaches are Resident Athletes training for the Olympics, so you know they have the experience and knowledge to help you succeed.

Kayla from Roadrunner Archery has been an awesome instructor. She has really helped my daughter develop her technique and enjoy archery. She made it really fun for her and easy for her to remember what she has learned. We started with the Groupon introduction then a 3 month membership. We are now annual members and really looking forward to the JOAD Olympic archery camp in August. :

This place always has a groupon and/or a livingsocial deal available. That's what we had when we came here. Problem is they have select dates you can go and use it but they still honor it and provide you the full coupon value even after the promotional value ends. Make sure you make your reservation online as their weekend spots fill up quickly. Note they have limited hours if you have questions and attempt to call them. They are located in the Olympic Training Center. Way at the very end. So plan to park near it. Don't just park at the first parking spot you find. Trust its quite a trek and down south it gets pretty hot. Come wearing comfy clothing. Shorts or work out gear. No heels and/or tangly jewelry ladies. Classes are packed with people probably 25-30 people in a session. The instructor gives a quick safety talk and instruction. You go up and take turns with the bows and arrows, three arrows a person a time, but you can manage to do more than that as others in our group get tired. Tips: extend your chest, keep your arm arm holding the bow straight and sturdy, and keep your left eye closed to get a clear aim, and have fun. Would certainly want to come back and do it again. You definitely use up your whole session shooting. The instructor goes around and also helps you with your technique. #katniss everdeen. Pretty sweet.

First time to the Olympic Training Center. I'm very impressed and proud of the little bit that I've seen. Here to watch a nephew compete in an archery tournament.
