Robert Carr Jr started Carr Insurance Agency in 1979 out of his home in Marietta, Ohio. This gave him the opportunity to spend time with his wife and two children while developing his business. Then, in 1986 he moved the business to a small office on Third Street in Marietta. Where the agency only continued to grow. In 2004, the new and current location opened on County House Lane. Robert hired his son Ashley in 2006, keeping the business family oriented. Currenlty, Robert and Ashley are both licensed insurance agents in Ohio and West Virginia.
