Dr. Clapcich graduated from the University of Rochester in 1984 where he received a bachelor of science in molecular genetics. He then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he earned his D.M.D. degree in 1988. After graduation, Dr. Clapcich practiced dentistry in Clifton and West Orange, New Jersey before opening his practice Millburn, N.J. in 1992.
Since earning his doctorate, Dr. Clapcich has continued broadening his skills by enrolling in specialized courses in implant dentistry and reconstructive dentistry at N.Y.U College of Dentistry and TMJ therapy at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. He was appointed a clinical assistant professor at N.Y.U College of Dentistry in 1999 and was an instructor in the full-mouth rehabilitation course at N.Y.U. from 1999-2004.
Apart from his dedication to his profession, Dr. Clapcich is an accomplished guitarist and photographer. His work with the camera can be seen on display through out the office, while his guitar fretwork can be heard in different venues in New York City and New Jersey.
