I did a recon of this airport because I was considering using the airport for my travels to Robert Lee for Hunting season. These pictures are of the condition of the airport as found the wind sock is torn apart from the frame not really sure if the light works or not and the tarmac has Weeds growing through the surface and the Markings are very poor.
Robert Lee Airport K54F has been delisted by the FAA and is no longer active. It is to be considered an abandoned airport. The sole runway 17/35, or what's left of it is in very poor condition. There are no services or facilities. If you use this runway, it is at your own risk. -- The nearest private airfield is Bodine Airport 96TE, approximately 25 nm west. The nearest public airport is San Angelo Regional KSJT, about 30 nm south.
