Very nice beach monitor by life guards. Electric sites with asphalt roads, kept really clean. Plenty of trees and sun sites for RVs and tents. Good fishing spot too. Dump station is a bit inconvenient for the new camp area near the beach but not big deal to make a short detour on the way out.
Our site had a view of the Dwight D Eisenhower Lock. There was easy access to launch our Kayaks in the crystal clear waters of the St. Lawrence Restrooms: Restrooms are kept clean and stocked. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a 6foot or less lead and cleaned up after.
Great place to camp, Park Maintenance staff isn’t too energetic though. Restrooms: Restrooms are not well maintained. Hand dryers were not operational, soap dispensers not properly mounted, no shower curtains in shower areas, holes in wall in shower stall needing patched, and urinal overflowed for three days. Overall cleanliness - Poor. Smells of odors.
Had a great experience camping here! Wish there was more trailer dumping stations though. Only 1 for the entire park with 3 dumping spots. So expect a wait. Their map is incredibly confusing online though so make sure to arrive at a good time to get a park map. Don't arrive at 11pm like we did. Water was beautiful and warm at the beach with life gaurds watching over. We went boating though. The staff didn't really know where would be a good place for us to take our boat. We were unsure about taking our inflatable boat to the marina. So we had to lug it to the beach which was quite the walk from the parking area. Next time we will just go to the marina. Overall we enjoyed our time. Friendly people!
Fantastic state park. Beautiful beach, plenty of hiking trails that are easy to walk. The nature center provides education for the kids via interactive learning as well as outdoor games to keep them entertained. We did not use the bot launch or the campgrounds.
Great post summer camping with only 12% of sites occupied. Beautiful weather w/ 70°s during the day and upper 40s at night. The site 55 that I was in had a side view of ships and barges going into and out of the lock from the west side. Lots of areas to hike, bike or run. Lots of water for boating, etc.
Rented a cabin....the overwhelming smell of Clorox when I arrived DIDN'T mean clean , by any stretch!!!Floors were sticky from over use of Clorox Refrigerator was disgusting! Top hadn't been wiped down in a very long time! Every corner in the place was FULL of cob webs! 2 different lengths of curtains in living area. The outside of the building was absolutely disgusting!!!!! Picnic tables haven't been swept off ....ever ! The view was nice....but be prepared to clean your cabin BEFORE you unpack!

Campsites and restrooms are very clean, large sites. Great towns not to far away to see and good food.
Nice campsites. Bathrooms acceptable. Showers Hot! Shower stalls need more than 1 hook. Will definitely camp there again.
