Quality of healthcare is excellent--I love my doctor, but the office staff is not the most helpful. I need to check on a replacement referral, and it is nearly impossible to speak to someone, much less actually receive a phone call back. Very disappointing.
This one is for the front office. I got a result that said I needed am additional ultrasound. I was nervous, and called to see what I was supposed to do next..She scheduled me for a TELEHEALTH call and boom! I now have a bill. Because I didn't understand the result in the app. Pretty shady way to sneak in a buck. I know not to ask questions next time.
I attempted to get a script from my Dr. Brickner for an emergency contraceptive. They have written a script for me before, the supervisor Karen Williams, tried to say they never have or will. & I should just find a coupon online. & I explained I needed a script to utilize a coupon from GoodRx. She was very dismissive & cold, she was of no help & had no bedside manner as a supervisor. Something has to be done with this center since this is not the first time that these complaints have been made.
The reason I'm putting the stars in the middle is because I've yet to go go my appointment but I keep reading about the whole "don't answer the phone" "can't make an appointment " comments and I had ZERO issues with calling and making an appointment.. took a whole 5 maybe 6 mins so just wanted to put my experience on that aspect up here. After I go I will rate again.
As the other reviewers said, this center is not reliable. Just making an appointment is difficult. No one answers. You will have to leave a message and hope someone calls back. They usually do. When you finally get your appointment you will have to wait 2 hours before you actually see a doctor. I am not exaggerating. Every time I go I spend at least 1 hour in the waiting room and 1 hour in the doctor's office with no pants on, waiting for a doctor. So plan accordingly. They nurses are pretty blunt and not empathetic but some people might like that. The reason I gave this place 3 stars is because the doctors who work here are so good at their jobs. Idk. Things need to change, but not the doctors.
By far the WORST doctor's office I have ever dealt with! If I could give zero stars, I would. The office staff is extremely cold, unfriendly and completely unresponsive. I have left at least 5-6 messages for the office over the course of 2-3 months regarding billing issues caused by their office and questions about a follow-up procedure I needed due to irregularities found in my initial exam.....and not a single call was returned. Imagine being told your results were abnormal so more tests needed to be done, wondering if it could be cancerous, not understanding the procedure you need to have done, and NO ONE returning your calls to answer your questions for 2 months before your next appointment. And when I brought it up in-person at my appointment, all I was met with was "oh, that's strange"..... No apology, no attempt to help me further, no attempt to fix any of my billing issues they said the person was busy and she would call me back later......she did not. My mom has had the same issue with none of her voicemails being returned to reschedule an appointment THEY canceled unexpectedly. I would NOT recommend going here. I am changing doctors.
While I've also experienced some of the recent difficulty communicating with office staff, I've found the doctors and nurses here to be extremely helpful and empathetic, especially Dr. Hoffman. They take the time to answer questions and make sure you understand any potential side effects or results, without judging or making you feel ashamed for asking. Having had some poor experiences with other doctors in the past, I really appreciate having a provider who listens to me and puts me at ease, especially given such a sensitive area of care. I would readily recommend this practice to anyone, especially if you are nervous about exams or treatment.
Avoid the RWJ womens health at all costs. Scheduled a colposcopy after abnormal pap results and the day before the procedure they canceled with no explanation, when I FINALLY got a hold of the office they told me they don't have supplies for the procedure and rescheduled for 3 weeks out. After the colposcopy, they LOST the sample. They LOST a biopsy sample containing possible precancerous or cancerous cells. No apologies, no responsibility taken, pointing blame at everyone else but themselves; most incompetent, unprofessional doctors office with EXTREMELY rude staff to boot. They don't answer the phone, and don't call you back. I'm going to have to physically show up to the office to have my records sent to a new gynecologist. They really should NOT be in service; for the sake of gynecological patients, I hope they close.
Disappointed with the office staff anymore. I haven’t been able to get anyone on the phone in over two months, and have left numerous messages. So much for “get a call back by end of business day”. I won’t be returning to the office. Such a shame because the doctors have been great, but the rest is just a mess.
I recently visited Dr. Gonzalez-Braile at the Columbus, NJ office. The doctor ran some lab tests and sent them to a lab that was not in my network. I provided the office staff with a copy of my insurance card but they still sent the lab work to an out of network laboratory. I never had a problem like this with the Hamilton office. Needless to say, I have been hit with a $725 bill because the doctor's office failed to properly confirm the correct lab. I requested help with the claim, but thus far they have not been at all helpful.
