Dr. Roberto Norniella MD is a board certified psychiatrist.
Dr. Roberto Norniella has practiced psychiatry since 1999 with experience in inpatient as well as outpatient adult psychiatry. He has a BS in Biology and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His medical degree is from the Universidad Central Caribe, School of Medicine in Bayamon, PR. Dr. Norniella did an internship in Internal Medicine from Universidad Central del Caribe. His Psychiatry residency was completed at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus in San Juan, PR. Dr. Norniella has also done Forensic Psychiatric training at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in Worcester, MA and in Administrative Psychiatry at
Yale University in New Haven, CT.
Inpatient experience includes acute
patients, substance disorders, crisis intervention and stabilization, electro-convulsive therapy as well as eating disorders. He also has experience in administrative psychiatry, working in both a managed care
environment and public sector psychiatry.
He is Board Certified in General Psychiatry from the American Board of psychiatry and neurology. He is also a fellow of the
American Psychiatric Association.
