Susan Roberts has more than 19 years of immigration law experience. She is a 1985 graduate of Cornell Law School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English and Business Administration from Muhlenberg College in 1982. She also earned a Masters in Tax Law from New York University in 2001.
Ms. Roberts was employed as Senior Attorney for the automotive subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company from 1989 through 1996. In this position, Ms. Roberts was introduced to employment-based immigration, as well as H-1, H-3 and L-1 temporary visas. She also successfully assisted one engineer from Romania who had filed an asylum application. Ms. Roberts continued to manage the immigration practice of this company for several years after moving away from its headquarters.
Since 2001, Ms. Roberts has been practicing immigration law in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She continues to handle a variety of immigration issues, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, I-9 compliance, temporary work visas (H, L, O, P, R), asylum applications and removal proceedings before both the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She is admitted to practice in Minnesota. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Stearns-Benton Bar Association.
