I got the prawn omelette. Tbh I was expecting it to be really good, but it was just good. However, the toasted English muffin was really really unbelievable. Nice vibe and hot quite busy since openedFood: 4/5
Great breakfast place .I had the Denver omelette. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Who doesnt love country potatoesFood: 5/5
The food was excellent, and the service was awesome! The owner, Don, was present, accommodating & available. The ambiance was great with photos of famous patrons and artifacts. It was an enjoyable dining experience.Food: 5/5
Sizzler. That was in our young minds, the best place to get a steak! We were also there on many occasions for the "unlimited" all you can eat salad bar and would take chicken nuggets from the kids section! In our college years, We went to " Tad's Steak" on Powell St. We felt we were living the life! Rocco's is the place I go to around work to treat myself to a nice sizzling steak w/ mushrooms. For $28.95, you get a nice ribeye with a pile of mushrooms on top. It's oozing with flavor and juices. You can also get a side of plump raviolis or fries. Meatballs- housemade and it comes in two. By far, one of my favorite meatballs in the whole city! Nice, huge balls with texture and not dry at all. Your meal begins with complimentary bread and butter. But, you can request for the bread to be warmly toasted and also some olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip it in. The owner, Don is around to say hello and talk to you on most days. Due to staff shortages, customer service is slow as expected. Parking can be difficult They have many other hearty Italian American inspired dishes for a satisfying meal.
I love this place. Excellent food and excellent service. I've been eating here since 1993 and it's been delicious every single meal. If you live in SF or anywhere nearby give yourself a treat and visit Rocco's.
Love, love, love!! Just met Don tonight. I had the Chicken Picatta. It was so delicious!! The chicken was cooked expertly. Not dry, very moist and lots of yummy sauce to sop up with sourdough bread!! My dinner-mates had Chicken Saltimbocca 5! and fettuccine with mussels, scallops and shrimp also 5. We took two Chicken Marsala to go, it was that good!! The ambiance is so comfortable. Like your Nonna's house. Family pictures on the walls and yellow lamps make it feel warm and cozy. Go to Rocco's!! You won't regret it!
St Patrick’s Day’s special corn beef with cabbage and homemade blackberry pie, yummyFood: 4/5
Dined for my daughter's birthday. Excellent steaks, warm cozy atmosphere, chic waitress. Let's go again!
The food is good. Service is bad. Not a friendly atmosphere. The owner creates an unnecessarily hostile environment. I live in the neighborhood, supported this business during the pandemic, and continued to do so afterward. Today, they lost me as a customer, thanks to the owner’s attitude. Not so much because of the staff that seems to be always under a lot of stress, but because of the owner’s attitude.
I came for a late breakfast and got Rocco’s favorite frittata and French toast. Both were absolutely delicious. I sat at the bar and as I ate got to see all the lunch items coming out. My god did everything look amazing. Definitely will be coming back to try more especially the roast beef. It was cooked perfectly.Food: 5/5
