The RHPL Bookmobile is on the road bringing the library closer to where you live and work.
The community bookmobile carries over 3,000 items for children, teens and adults. You are able to find popular materials in a variety of formats including books, music CDs, DVDs and books on CD. Whether you're looking for a board book for the youngest member of your family or something in large print for the mature reader, the bookmobile has most everything you can find at the main library.
Michigan's busiest bookmobile hit the road for the first time in February 2005, marking the beginning of a new era in library services at RHPL. Originally made possible by the generosity of the Friends of the Library, this popular mobile service continues to serve library customers of all ages in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township, making 26 weekly stops and circulating over 80,000 items annually. The bookmobile is a key component in an expanded effort to increase access to library services and materials for persons throughout the library's 72 square mile service area.
