Rock and Worship Academy is a performance-based music school in Corpus Christi, TX. We offer guitar, bass, drum, piano, and voice lessons, as well as our Artist Development, Rock Band Program, Camps, and Worship Training. For ages 8 and up.
Music was never meant to be learned in isolation. Imagine playing on a basketball team, but your team never actually played a game. In fact, your team never even practiced. The only thing you really did was work with your coach one-on-one once a week for half an hour. How long would you stay on that “team”? Not very long, and for some reason that’s exactly how music lessons are mostly being taught today. Students work one on one with an instructor for half an hour and then go home and are expected to practice a song they will never perform.
At Rock & Worship Academy we believe there is a better way. Kids need to be on a “team” and much like sports they need to be playing in “games” or shows. Kids need something that is cool and that they are consistently working towards to keep their interest and keep them
coming back for more! Our goal is to get students placed in bands and playing on stage as fast as possible.
That’s why we offer private lessons as well as our Artist and Band Development Programs. Our private guitar, bass, vocal, keyboard and drum lessons is where students can hone in the skills they need on their instrument. Equally important though is our Artist and Band Development Programs. Our Artist Development Program is designed with the aspiring singer/songwriter in mind. We want to equip them with the tools and training that they need to succeed in their craft. Our Band Development Program is where students are able to apply what they are learning on their own in a real group environment. We want our students playing all over town. They have the opportunity to perform on the same stages that they see their favorite bands play on. We also develop youth worship bands for area churches that do not have the resources or staffing available to develop them on their own.
Rock and Worship Academy provides a safe and positive learning environment where young musicians are able to grow together and develop the musical skills necessary to succeed at any level they aspire to in the music industry.
