We were headed home to Reno NV and decided to stay here for a week. Very clean park with reasonable sized spaces. Make sure you have long electric and water hoses as the hookups are on the passenger side. The sewer dump is on the drivers side. All the sites are back in. We tow a jeep behind our motorhome and they have space when you pull in to unhook and space when you leave to hook back up which is nice. They have a gravel dog park which is not too bad but would like a little grass. It is a big park with over 1000 sites. We would stay here again.
If you like the smell of skunk odor, this park is for you! They don’t have skunk to my knowledge, but they allow residents to smoke cannabis, even though it is against park rules. Very disgusting and limited us in opening windows. Even with closed windows, the horrific smell still came in our unit. Addressed it personally with manager, it continued, emailed park, still continued. Smelled daily sometimes multiple times a day! The location of the park is convenient to grocery and restaurants. Amenities to park are average, Sites are extremely close, not much room. Park needs updating.
All facilities are closed Pickelball court removed no pool no hottub no activities no ballroom. They do not know if or when they MAY have activities.
This resort has everything you need.
Heard some stories about people tossing flags on the ground, drunken parties in the back and a few other things the management has allowed from residents and employee. I will steer clear of this one and its hands off management style. New management has failed many residents there and they are currently ignoring many residents who are having trouble with people who are guests of other residents. Lack of proper follow thru with regards to complaints and almost 30 units for sale! Roads are terrible and a jacuzzi has gone unfixed for months! Back door was broken for months too. Poorly picked new management only makes it all worse! We found a beautiful place up the street. Save your money, the electrical posts are outdated and the whole park needs an upgrade
One park. Friendly, well managed, and good amenities.
We call Rock Shadows, our Arizona Winter Home. We enjoy our resort. You can be as busy with a multitude of activities or as quiet and a homebody as you want. We are located within walking distance to a supermarket, restaurants, banking, dance clubs , pharmacies and so much more. This year we have new owners and with that comes unknowns as to what to expect. Which is normal and I think expected. The good news is Ann Marie is currently our resort Manager as she was under previous resort owner. Sometimes people confuse liking personalities with liking how businesses are run. Personal attacks are such a waste of energy and show your mentality, more than you may think. It’s ok to have opinions and ideas, but not using those as an excuse to slew another’s persons name and professional work. I think some resort residents have forgotten what it is to follow the expectations of your bosses. If you have ever been a leader in your working life, you understand exactly what I’m saying. You will also understand that doing what you want or feel should be done is sometimes different than the expectations of those who pay you to do as asked and support them to the best of your abilities. I look forward to new experiences and new ideas as we move forward with our new owners. I’m not saying I will enjoy all the changes but am being open minded as they work towards their goals In Rock Shadows. Sincerely Ann Nantes
10/06/2020 Disappointed by owners decision to raise space rent to homeowners in the midst of a most difficult time in our nation. And in the lives of our Canadian friends and neighbors. Realizing access to amenities will depend more heavily than ever upon resident volunteers this season. The current rate increase might be perceived by some as a cold and heartless imposition upon the residents.
Lots are small ...but friendly, safe, gaurd at gate, fun dances, line dance lessons, nice large hot tubs lots of activities
Very pleasant staff, very personable, Jody the manager went above and beyond to accommodate our 40' motorhome at the spur of a moment situation, she drug out maps grid coordinance maps tape measures and with some effort on her part she got us fixed up first class right next to there swimming pool, fenced and gated of course, only draw back, she said sorry Ken you can not put a slide from the roof of your motorhome into the swimming pool. Lol. Park is very clean and well kept, friendly neighbors excellent view, and convient location. Thanks for all your efforts ladies, excellent service. Jody is a rope swing out of the question as well? Ken
