Our Mission: The mission of Rock Steady Boxing is to empower people with Parkinson’s disease to fight back.
Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) was founded in 2006 to address the specific needs of those diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The mission of Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) is to empower people with Parkinson’s disease to fight back. The main headquarters of RSB is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and there are more than 80 franchise locations located throughout the United States.
The RSB program consists of exercises largely adapted from boxing drills. Boxers condition for optimal agility, speed, muscular endurance, accuracy, hand-eye coordination, footwork, and overall strength to defend against and overcome opponents. At RSB, Parkinson’s is the opponent. Exercises vary in purpose and form but share one common trait: they are rigorous and intended to extend the perceived capabilities of the participant.
