We spent 2 days at Rockin Sunset RV at $40.50 per day after military discount for FHU with a concrete pad and gravel roads. All the utilities worked as expected except the cable. It did not work at all, however, I didn’t care as I received over 70 channels OTA. The free WiFi was not better than most rv parks. AT&T internet was fair, at best. Verizon appeared good. The park has a lot of grassy areas around a 7 acre lake filled with fish, turtles and geese, a swimming pool and fenced in playground area. The bathrooms, showers and laundry rooms were newish and in great shape. The park offers a full kitchen and coffee bar for all residents to use. In talking with residents, we learned many have been here years and have nothing but great things to say. I-20 is nearby and can be heard all day/night. The only bad thing was the dogs barking. On Friday they started at 6 am. We will not return.
This is a lovely park. It has electric, sewage, and water hook ups. There is a laundry facility as well. Plenty of room for a big rig we are 70 foot. At least 90% of residents are long term. They have some trees planted not quite big enough to provide shade. Our site had a cement pad as did at least half the other sites. The owner lady was friendly. We stayed there when it was very wet as it had been raining The roads are graveled nicely. There was nicely groomed grass at each site. They have a beautiful pool and lamp posts that provide light after dark. Pet friendly with nice grassy area for them. There was no table at our site but some sites have them. No fire pits/grills at sites so bring your own. There was a lot of noise from the interstate that is close by and a neighbor both nights ran his diesel truck for about 20 minutes both times after midnight not the owners fault. We would stay here again.
Great place to stay close to Dallas. Easy in and out. Our site was long enough for our 70 ft RV and trailer. Concrete site with full hookups. Park had nice gravel roads with nice grassy areas at the sites. Owner was friendly during check in. Would stay here again when we travel back in that area.
We did enjoy our time there, they even let me grow some vegies in pots. The rates were affordable. There was a large pond with wild geese raising a young one. The pads by the pond are concrete. They do have a rule "no domestic animals outside without the owners" for a good reason. We were outside enjoying the weather and I was watering my plants, when a wild fox attacked my cat. This is why they say watch your fur babies. Wild animals do not care, they just see them as dinner. Luckily we were outside and our brave chihuahuas and my husband went after the fox to stop it from taking my cat. So watch your babies. Would stay there again if ever get back that direction.
A good-sized campground extremely clean laundry area Clubhouse equipped with fridge stove microwave. Free coffee all day. Very welcoming people owners live on site. Cute little pond probably bigger than the size of a pond but body of water where you can fish or walk around the pond your dog. Very very pet friendly. All sites are cement pads with enough room for the truck or car. Summer back in which are in front of the pond, or pull throughs. Cable TV, Wi-Fi, 3050 amps. Nice pool and hot tub. Rates are good and comparable. Just wish it was paved through the park as tents to make a lot of dust. Otherwise highly recommend
Great place to stay. Great amenities and close enough to town. Friendly people, guest and staff.
Friendly Host. Quiet and clean park with Propane service.
We made a last minute reservation to stay for a few nights. We had a great stay here! The place was very clean and staff was friendly. Laundry room was very nice. Grounds were well kept! I can't remember the guys name who did the mowing, but he also checked us in and showed us around. He even gave us some tips on which roads were good to take..as we continued on our way. Would definitely stay here again and we recommend the place for others to stay.
Excellent service. Friendly, caring staff. Feels like visiting family!! My family and I stayed here for about 30 days. Alicia made us feel at home before we even arrived, with her texts and phone calls. Every minute of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable! This campground is safe, quiet, fun, clean, and very family friendly! My kids spent many hours playing in the gated play area, where there are age appropriate toys and equipment for both younger and older children. Inside the clubhouse--- the fitness center is very useful, laundry facilities are clean and affordable, indoor place for the kids to play with toys during rainy days or while Mom does laundry, hot coffee and muffins served daily. The owners and staff are very thoughtful and mindful of guests' needs. I simply cannot say enough good things about Rockin Sunset RV!
