We were greeted by a waitress named Angie I believe. She definitely took great care of us! She made it so worth while being here. Especially being from out of state. We didn't know what to get.. She took the time to elaborate the foods and guide us to a food item we liked. I highly recommend this place. Food was so good

A go-to staple in my family for over 40 years! Worth the drive from anywhere. Try their famous Mac n cheese and red gravy with your fave meat. $17/plate and you can't finish it! Bring quarters for the claw machine.Food: 5/5

Best food around New Orleans, hands down. Po-boys, plates and many other selections. Come as you are type place. Been going there since I was a little kid with my parents and at 67, still going.

The food was amazing! The biggest helping of food I've ever had on my plateeven from my own momas kitchen it holds such a special meaning and place for so many people in and around that area. They even have an abundance of framed photos in and outside of the bathroom! Highly recommended

A landmark with good food to back up its reputation. Christmas time, got a stuffed mirliton; try finding one anywhere else! The one the only the legendary mac & cheese with brown gravy try it, you’ll like it. Crab cakes worthy of their crabby name. Wash it down with a Barq’s. A true classic. Worth it.

First time in Louisiana! Got recommended to check this place out. It was OK. Nothing to hype about if you aren't local I guess. Reminded me of a cracker barrel or grocery store deli type. Definitely Louisiana cooking. And a very popular place to the locals it seemed like!Food: 2/5

Very established restaurant. Food was and is exceptional. I'd recommend everything, but come hungry. Portions are for big eaters. Take out boxes are waiting for you to fill by the front door. Glad I don't live too close.Food: 5/5

We ordered eggplant sticks, veal parmesan w/macaroni, shrimp po boy dressed and an order of fries. The staff is very friendly and great service. You must come hungry.

I was impressed with how clean and well-run the restaurant is, and the macaroni and cheese lived up to the hype. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable and the sizes of the portions are huge. I can't wait to come back.Food: 5/5

What an amazing find! The southern love and hospitality was wonderful, the portions were crazy huge, and the overall meal made me so full I couldn't finish it even sharing! I love finding places like this when we travel
