Your EMS first responders needs Serious training. My roommate and I noticed an older guy on the ground by our home one night around 9:40pm. Upon closer inspection, we realized the guy fell and had a large deep gash on his anterior leg. Paramedics were called already so we sat with the guy and held pressure on the wound. When the 2 paramedics arrived these are the exact and only words that came out of his mouth, “ soo you want us to bandage it up.”  Now for those who have no healthcare experience, in a situation like this, the first thing that should be done is patient assessment which these guys did not do. They did not ask how he fell. They did not assess how long the guy had been laying there 10+minutes. They did not assess the degree of his wound, and they did not address the fact that this was an OLDER male who has just suffered a FALL!!!! THIS IS SERIOUS, WOUND OR NOT. This was sickening and hard to watch being a nursing student.  The only thing these “so called” first responders did was wrap the wound and walk the guy back into the house.  They FAILED to: - Apply pressure until bleeding stopped - rinse the wound of blood AND debri the guy fell on concrete - apply any sort of antiseptic for bacteria  THIS GUY WILL BE LUCK TO NOT AN INFECTION IN THE MORING. older individuals heal slower and have weakened immune systems making it harder to fight off infections. Proper wound care was not taken.  Shame

Members of the RRFD helped us with some CPR and AED training at our church.  They couldn't have been nicer or more responsive to our requests.

I really feel bad about this rating, but in reality I don’t. The Fire Chief seems to think that property under contract, with that fire department isn’t even worth inspecting. Even though someone calls about the conditions of there apartment complex isn’t live able. It’s all about money and politics. Sickening
