The Rocky River Police Department provides law enforcement services for residents, businesses, and guests of the City of Rocky River, Ohio. We have 33 sworn police officers, 15 auxiliary officers, and 6 civilian support staff. Specialized units include a SWAT Team (as a part of the Westshore Enforcement Bureau), Marine Patrol, Motor Patrol, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, two K9 units, a School Resource Officer, Cops on Patrol in Schools Program, and a Citizen Police Academy.
The RRPD is dedicated to providing professional and progressive police services, involving community members as often as possible.

Our north border is on Lake Erie, east border is the City of Lakewood and the Cleveland MetroParks, the south border is the City of Fairview Park, and the west borders are the Cities of Westlake and Bay Village. Our population is about 20,000. Interstate 90 goes through Rocky River.
