We serve 6th - 8th grade students in the northern Thornton and Broomfield area. Our enrollment is approximately 1150 students, and 91 staff members.

Rocky Top’s mission is to provide a positive, cohesive educational community that develops responsible, productive citizens.

This place is amazing. I'm a sixth grade student there currently and the teachers are all nice, the principles are very nice. There is little to no fighting or drama. There is good food and it's not as bad as some cafeteria food can be. I ride my bike 2 miles sometimes to get school because I moved during the school and I was given the option to move to century middle school but I chose otherwise because I love the school so much.
Don't like this school. they ban anything that doesn't harm other students or the school In general. They banned HEADPHONES in the hallway. Why would u ban something nothing of us use in the hallway in the first place. Second they don't have school sports. The staff be butt hurt 90% of the time. So they find a way to make our lives more miserable, so it makes them feel better. This school needs work
I'm a student here and the teachers have all been very nice and I do feel like I'm being helped academically. I suggest Rocky Top. The biggest problem is it is over crowded which you don't really notice because of how the separate the grades.
the school has some of the worst teachers ever. my science teacher says she has favorites and she doesn't even try to hide it. i came back from spring break and i ask her how are you she says fine now get to work. even though just moments before with one of her favorite students. that is not even the worst of it on the second day that a new student got to our class the boy assaulted me and i don't just a punch he headlocked me and attempted to slam my head into the table. that nearly resulted in me breaking my chromebook a chromebook is vital to you learning, and what does the science teacher tell my parents at comrience? "he comes from a bed home and he has not been taught proper manners. clearly. i have had to go to the counselor nearly every week because of this kid. in my personal opinion this teacher should be fired. she let me be assaulted in here class and she was present. than she sits me next to him. so that's it for me.
Love this school! Amazing principal and great teachers! All 3 of my kids went here and both of my daycare babies... it’s awesome!

The only thing wrong is just the fact that if someone says something bad or a bad word the adults don't enforce that it's not ok.
Rocky top is a good school and the teachers there are great.
