Rodney's Jamaican Soul Food

I had a pretty good time here. I came and went to the bar. The bartender was super nice and professional. I don’t know her name but she was really nice. I ordered a mango margarita and the curry chicken with collard greens and macaroni. Let me tell you!!! The collard greens were probably the best I ever had. They were flavorful and there were good portions on the sides. The chicken was hot and delicious. I’ll definitely be back.

The Oxtail Stew is their signature dish for a reason. It’s delicious! Saddens me to read some of the negative reviews about this dish. Please keep in mind how much it would cost and the time it would take to make it yourself. Also, where else can you find it at any price? Service was great, atmosphere nice, drinks off the chain. I’m a fan of Rodney’s , definitely going back Parking: Convenient

This was my first time trying this place. I’ve heard so many good reviews on the food and thought I’d try. I called ahead and the woman was very nice and welcoming. My food wasn’t the best. I had the salmon jerk Alfredo and it was lacking in flavor. The Alfredo had all of 3 pieces of broccoli so I’m not sure if it was even supposed to be a part of the meal and it had absolutely no flavor. I think the Alfredo sauce was from a store bought brand. I had high hopes for my meal. The only good thing was the salmon. It was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I just wish it wasn’t such a thin piece for the price. I plan to try them out again but as a dine in service and I’m hoping that makes a difference.

First time and definitely NOT THE LAST. Abby and Damian were so nice and very professional. Cocktail drinks were made perfect! Thanks Abby! Food was so delicious. Best Jamaican food in town....hands down. I can't wait to visit again. Thanks Team Food: 5/5

The Good: Atmosphere and music was nice. My Jerked chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage was good wasn't the best. Both my wife and I loved the Jerk Chicken egg rolls. The Bad: The waiter had to be reminded to give refills of Coca-Cola. My wife's ribs Missouri style I believe where not hot when she got them. The collards where not great and the mac and cheese and potatoe salad was mediocre at best. The Ugly: We ordered TWO fried chickens from the menu to go along with our meals. The chicken was somewhat bland, and cost at the time of this post $8.50. It gets better when we got our bill, my wife asks the waiter why are there TWO $4.00 surcharges. When the waiter explains, he said that because we got breast white meat I asked him for the owner/manager and he comes out and says it's because the chicken is "FREE RANGE" which I told him that NO WHERE on his menu States the chicken is "FREE RANGE" nor did it state an extra $4.00 surcharge for white meat. He was hesitant and stood by his decision so we told him to take the chicken back in which he did. Now I can go to most to any chicken restaurant and get up to TWENTY or more pieces of fried chicken for what they wanted for TWO breast. Conclusion: Two stars for the overall experience.

This was my first time me & my wife ate here. The service was great & the food was amazing. Keris was a great waitress, she checked & made sure we had everything we needed. I loved the Oxtails, Coconut Shrimp & Crab Cake. I even stopped by and got to to-go order before heading home. Will revisit on my next trip here. Food: 5/5

Damien made my experience at Rodney’s the best experience I’ve ever had here. I am so grateful for the customer service upgrade here at Rodney’s. Damien was so kind, helpful and attentive! He made sure I had a quiet table where I could sit peacefully and enjoy my meal. He helped provide me with vegan options and alternatives. He checked on my table and made sure everything was okay. I would definitely say this is the best customer service/server experience I’ve had at Rodney’s Jamaican soul food thus far. 10/10. Damien is the best!

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night and I must say that Damien and Bianca took amazing care of us. The food was absolutely amazing. The drinks were top notch. And though the restaurant was not full we had such great customer service. We highly recommend anyone to come here for dinner tonight because they will take good care of you and make you feel special.
