If your looking for some stale candy you've come to the right place. We paid for a box of dots, and they were so hard you couldn't even chew them. We exchanged them for twizzlers and again rock hard. Bring your own. The owner is to cheap and just rotates stock. Sound. They refuse to turn it up. My surround sound at home is louder than the theater. I used to go to beaver dam theater years ago and watch movies, and it was great. $5.00 Tuesday for movies. Not anymore. Stay at home and watch Netflix. Or Amazon. The experience will be 100 times better.
Let's be honest this building is definitely old I like it that way better than giving the big-name cinemas the business.. you probably remember as a kid going to the video store with your parents after doing your homework all week and being good to pick out a movie and get a treat. Well there are no video stores. Therefore I take my kids and family here as often as possible hoping that this place stays in business as long as possible... We also own a small business glad we can help this one.
My husband and I have gone to this theater often since we live in Beaver Dam. This past Sunday we went to see a movie at 1pm. We arrived 15 minutes early and saw other people standing outside on the sidewalk. After speaking to them, we found out that there seemed to be no one in the building. We waited around for a while to see if maybe an employee was running late, but nothing. I went on their Facebook page to see if maybe there was a message on there of an emergency or power outage, but there was no new posts. I did see that someone commented on their last post about how they were also at the theater that day, but at noon for a movie- and again, there was no one there. Obviously we did not see out movie. I tried to contact the cinema on their Facebook messenger and told them what day we were there and that we were disappointed. They did reply, but when I explained why I was writing, I got a statement, but no real apology or invite for us to please give them another try. Instead, I got this: "Yes it is and that person is no longer employed by Beaver Dam Cinema. There are time in our lives that bad things happen and we just fix the issue and move on." I have worked in the customer service industry for 30 years, and I like to think that I am a kind person who tries not to criticize a small business for little mistakes. But I also believe that a business should be apologetic and let customers know they do want their business. I was not rude, and never asked for any sort of compensation. I was just curious what had happened and thought maybe an apology. I even suggested a nice little blip on their Facebook page would go far to show their patrons that they care about keeping their business. Instead, they did not reply to me again, and there is no post on their FB page. It's just sad to see a company just be defensive instead of welcoming patrons to try them again in the future....
Why on Earth would you play this movie sounds of freedom? Are there really that many QAnon nut jobs for you to make a buck off of. Or maybe they just like the smell of urine. Had to give 1 star to post, I may start to give out websites to free movie at home online. moviex8
I wasn't happy at all, I went to see the little mermaid, and all but 3 rows were not broken, the floors were flooding with water. The chairs were filthy. I will never go back to that cinema again.
Restrooms needed cleaning and restocking. There were people in our theater talking. When we asked them to stop they refused. Staff said that there was nothing they could do. Disappointing
Place is absolutely gross. It's stickier than your teenage sons bedroom. Not bad prices but don't expect much
Nice but small cinema. Not many show times and limited movies, but the people are always nice, and the seats are comfy.
My first time here was as a kid watching Jurassic Park 3. I had my first date with my girlfriend here last year. The theater is a little dated, but it's a humble experience that more than satisfies your needs.
I resides in BD for a few years and finally today I finally brought my Buddy to see a flick and I will admit that after reading a lot of the reviews via google maps, it’s a very old school theatre and it is definitely a lot bigger than what it looks on the outside. There were some broken seats in the theatre I was in but overall the screen quality was decent. The bathrooms were fairly clean. However like so many other reviews have stated, the popcorn was definitely cold. My Buddy got candy, but overall it’s a cute little theatre with an old school touch to it.
