Description

Built in 1952, Rogers Park Golf Course has evolved as one of Tampa's best kept secrets. This beautiful 160-acre, 18-hole golf facility is surrounded on three sides by the Hillsborough River, offering golfers tranquility and an escape from busy city life.

The 6,802-yard par 71 design is a stern test for any skill level. A lighted driving range and three-hole practice course also help golfers sharpen their skills.

Aside from challenging, residents and visitors of the bay area find the course to be convenient and accessible as its location is only 20 minutes away from downtown Tampa, Tampa International Airport as well as some of the area's best beaches.

Rogers Park is also known for being home to one of the bay area's major golf tournaments, the Tampa City Amateur Medal Championship.

We had a fabulous time at The Heights Classic ! Beautiful course, amazing staff, and a beautiful day !

Golf course is awesome! In great shape as well. They also have a practice putting green as well as a driving range and a chipping area. Great staff as well! We love this place.

We’ve been golfing in the Tampa area on holidays for two weeks now and we have found ourselves returning to Rogers Park.  Why?  Sure it doesn’t have perfect greens nor fairways, but it is still completely playable and enjoyable for this 11 handicapper.  Why do they get extra points?  They have a COLD water available in locations throughout the course.  No other course in area supplies that.  They also have actual water in the ball washers!  Their carts are electric presumably so are quiet with no gas fumes too.  When you compare similar courses at similar costs , Rogers wins for the reasons above, plus the great range and practice areas.  Thanks!

Great course, front nine is mostly back and forth parallel holes but still offers options, back nine brings some ponds into play and has more doglegs. Greens in decent shape, tee boxes too, fairways very nice. Will return.

Absolutely the worst golf course out there! The African American "gentleman " that is the cook there was so unbelievably rude and complaining that he had to make food for my veteran friends. My burger was at least 3 days old and cooked at least twice. And I got food poisoning. Worst service ever especially for those that serve your country. Golf course was nothing pretty to look at. We called it fire ant city. Who ever runs this place has absolutely no idea on how to run a golf course. STAY AWAY FROM HERE! Save your money. If I could give negative stars I would.

Great public golf course, a little noisy at times but it makes up with the views of the roller coasters from Busch Gardens

3 or 4 holes were actually playable .. the rest of the holes were neglected .. grass hadn't been cut in multiple days. Greens had patches of no grass .. and several fairways were true cow pastures .. waste of time and money .. worse golf course ive seen in tampa should have gone else where .. the best expirence of the day was the resturant

Very friendly and pleasant environment.

Rogers Park Golf Course has a beautiful scenery with a variety of animals and birds. There is no worries of having a stray ball hit a house or car making for a relaxing game. The layout, condition, and pace of play are better than most in the area

This review is for driving range experience only. This is a great POC and women-friendly range. I was really happy to see this course was established by a Black man and continues to have a lot of Black customers. There were people receiving lessons from a very enthusiastic and friendly trainer next to me. I think next time I’ll come back and get a few lessons from him. All experience levels welcome here and large bucket of balls was $14. They have a good sized cafe with beer and you can buy anything you need from the shop.
