Won't buy ever again from this nursery. This is the first nursery I see shipping twigs. The only one root showing from the bottom was black. Black root is a dead root. Price is way too high for a twig.
Rose came well packed. 3 day shipping great. Very healthy rose even had two blooms. Well rooted!! Great price and inexpensive fast shipping. One of the best rose growers out there. Better than most big names. Will order again from them .
I'm absolutely blown away by the wonderful box of roses I received from Rogue Valley Roses today! First of all, I placed my order on Sunday evening and I already have it in my hands on Friday afternoon. The box is beautifully and carefully packaged - not a leaf bruised or a bit of soil spilled. I frequently mail order plants - especially orchids - and this is the best packaging job I've ever seen! see photo The rose plants are very vigorous and healthy looking, and extremely large for bands - they are just perfect. The box includes detailed instructions about building healthy soil using organic practices - I am thrilled to see this in a box of roses. I don't often sit down and write a review, especially within an hour of receiving an order, but Rogue Valley Roses has exceeded my expectations in every way - thank you so much!
I ordered an Ingrid bergman and a kazanlik about a year ago. Due to drought and extrememe heat jere in California zone 9b, despite all my efforts Kazanlik did not make it. But Ingrid held on and this year she has a gloriusly sturdy and healthy new cane! One needs to understand that own root baby roses such as we get from this vendor are "babies" and need lots of tlc. So, I decided to try again and ordered a clotilde soupert and another kazanlik. This time I will be more vigilant with their care. Over all, I am very happy with the quality of plants, the shipping and the comunication with the vendor.
Highly recommend Rogue Valley Roses for those looking for old and unique rose varieties that you may not find other places. They are shipped very well and with care. They are smaller....Don't Compre these roses to big brands. These are not the same. They are bands and grown on their own roots and not grafted & after established they do fantastic! Thank you guys for offering specialty and rare roses. They make our cottage garden beautiful. Wonderful roses Highly recommend.
I've ordered 3 roses from them over the last 3 years. Each of them had the same thing happen to them and they died within a year. They grew well and flowered the first growing season, wintered well, and in late winter they started abundant new growth like my other roses do then, but they suddenly began to wither and were fully dead before the start of spring. Followed the Rogue Valley instructions for care and growing of their small roses to the T, I'm in the same growth zone as Rogue Valley, and all my other roses bought from multiple sources flourish and thrive. So no idea what is going on with them but Rogue Valley roses do not last.
I bought 35 roses last year in one batch. They all arrived in great condition. They were planted in heavy clay soil and a year later I only lost 1 of the roses. The rest are doing great. Will definitely order from them again.
I ordered 3 rose plants from Rogue Valley Roses in January 2021 and they arrived nicely packaged two weeks later with healthy leaf buds. I've also ordered from RVR a few times in the past and the experience has been consistently good. The plants may be a bit smaller/younger when they first arrive, but I think they are a good value. These are all own-root roses not grafted, so once the plants become established they do really well. RVR also has a lot of special varieties that can be hard to find elsewhere. I've been really happy with my purchases from RVR and I would recommend them to others.
I ordered roses from this company and was sent an email that they had shipped. Two weeks later, I had no roses. The order said I should contact my post office. I did. No orders from this company. I called back and seemed to have woken the owner up. After much explanation on her part about building, delays and workers, she said she'd "call down to the nursery." Just a poorly run mom and pop organization that never shipped, wouldn't provide tracking and now I have to try to get my money back. What a fiasco. The owner is a nut case. Very unprofessional.
READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY!!! I cannot recommend ordering a rose from these people. While the plant I received was healthy, when it bloomed a month after it arrived, I discovered it was nothing like the rose I ordered. They get 2 stars for shipping a healthy plant with good planting/care instructions. I emailed them immediately to advise them of the error. I was contacted via email to send them a picture, which I did. When I received no reply the following week, I sent additional emails along with the picture. No response. When I called, someone named Janet answered and said she would call me right back. No call back.I finally sent an email review of the error and the effort I had made to get it corrected. I asked them to send a refund if they did not have the rose I ordered in stock. Today they get another star...Scott contacted me, asked for another picture and ultimately refunded my money in full.
